Did you also notice that the Targa Top was in place for the entire chase scene until the very end when she miraculously pops her head out with the top removed. Tons of smoke pouring out at 3:23 min.

Hi All ,sorry to reply late, to DAEpperson, when this car was restored near 18 years ago in the US, it was all taken from a 1984 Euro donor car I believe, 3.2 Euro motor and LSD gearbox, and they transplanted the 84 dash and seats, it is airconditioned as to why I`m thinking they put the 84 dash in ,as you know includes the vents, I have had to do alot of small work to get that clean look ,it is a shame it is not the original car it should be, but at least I own a 911 ,and it is great value driving it , Cheers from Australia

yes, I noticed both those things. She probably just hit the automatic retract button for the roof.

Snapped this today as I dropped off my wheels to the new owner. He was telling me the other day how he really didn't care for the Targa that much. I think today he felt a little differently. Note the c2 bumpers on his car, the wheels really finished that car off nicely!

I think we have all been here...............

They were very firm, but fair. Told us to leave the State of Oregon - "You are not welcome here." I seem to remember saying, "Yes, sir." I also recall the Trooper telling me, "You can likely out run us. But, we will catch you." That also got the "Yes sir" response.

I have to laugh thinking about this - here I am over 60 years old and it was like I was back being a hooligan in my teens.

Ohhhhh yes! Here in Clearwater, FL, if you get on their bad side they'll stick you in the back of a hot cruiser and make you sweat your a** off for 30 minutes before let you go! I know from personal experience.

Silly grin...

O.K. guys the coolest Targa of them all......not even mine. My brother in Laws '87 Turbo. I had the privilege of racking up several thousand miles on this baby... he bought a '97 TT as well and we took both cars on a trip up the California coast to Solvang stayed the night swapped cars and came home. The girls didn't get a mile behind the wheel and I still have the silly grin to prove it.......

Agree.

I was kissing a$$ so hard it was embarrassing.

Actually, there was a string of about 8 off us Mr. Trooper had on the side of the road that afternoon. He lectured us for some 45 minutes while the other trooper had his hand on the gun the entire time.

Somehow, they clearly didn't like us. We did leave the state the next morning.

Thanks Michael, The code is Peru Red # L042. I just received my rebuilt Fuel Distributor and Warm up regulator today and will be re-assembling the CIS this week. Hopefully she starts and runs OK. Will post my progress and hopefully photos of the car on the road!!

Charlie, any P-car driver worth his salt has been here and we've all done the pucker. Good of you to stand up and admit it.

As for the sidekick with his hand on gun? Probably compensating for some shortcomings in other areas. Fingering your gun at a speed trap....priceless. "Lighten up Francis"

And I have a high degree of respect for them. You couldn't pay me enough money to approach a vehicle I'd just stopped day or night.......

However telling a 60 year old speeder in an antique car that he is not welcome in the state while the partner stands by hand on weapon? Come on, I doubt seriously that any Pelicans that happen to be peace officers would condone that kind of behavior? That said. My apologies to anyone I may have offended.......Scott
