Burgermeister, I don't have a 904, real or Beck, but I enjoy reading your updates. Nice work you do machining stuff to get the linkages and systems to work to your taste and requirements. Best regards, John/CT

Been awhile BUT chassis #50 arrived in Nov. Loads of fun (68 911S Alum block 2.8 built by Henry @ Supertec) and gets the looks. Took @ a year and a half, worth it in every respect. The fit & finish is amazing.

Here’s some pics of the car at Special Edition (Beck’s) in Indiana before being shipped home.

I haven't shared anything here yet but I'm building my own in aluminum. The frame is built and it rolls. It's longer and wider, tube frame and very strong but will look the part. It's set up for flat 6 power and ofcourse mid placement. I'll post pics here soon.

Please do! We’d all love to see what you’re doing!

Sorry, not interested in any trades but I appreciate the offer!

A 904 sized for most of today’s drivers (a 5/4 version?) would be a great project. One of Porsche’s nicest designs.

I have ridden in a real 904 and they make a 914 feel like a Limousine. The 904 is a very cool car, and the replicas are fantastic to see on the road. If I had Jay Leno money and space, I would have one for sure.

I will stick to my giant 2,700 pound 1985 911 with kick butt air conditioning and great heating.

What is the roof height on a 904? I had a Lotus Elise and kept getting run off the road by SUV's that could not see me even when I was on the driver side...so low it was under their mirror and no, most do not actually look besides a mirror glance.....looking for another big SUV/Truck etc....

Great car...be careful.

Same while driving any sub-SUV sized vehicle. Only thing I can suggest; be aware with a working and loud horn at the ready. Another. Avoid shadowing large vehicles. Use that pedal to scoot around those road obstacles and make yourself visible. Harley-Davidsons and the like are factory equipped with an obnoxious exhaust system as a warning system that pisses off more people than warns them (MHO). Offer a more pleasant but obvious air-cooled exhaust note.

I have the same issue in my 71 targa. I always practice "half wheeling". I like to stay half a car length in front of whatever vehicle is in the adjacent lane. I stand a better chance of being seen our the front than sides.

Defensive driving is a MUST in any current road. Driver's hardly ever focus on actual driving.

I found it a bit more intense in that really short Lotus....we all get the issue but it is compounded by just a few more inches +/-..... occasionally one has to pass on a 2 or more lane. The 904 looks to be about the same as the Lotus was.

I've never had the issue in my 911 SC or Cayman.
