Calling someone a LOSER is a very personal attack Loren for which you should be banned from this BB, I am reporting this very childish insult to our moderators.
You may start throwing insults to me now, but to be honest, your opinion means ***** to me.
It is time you are put in your place and leave us alone.

Livi, (Markus)

glad to hear you are ordering a chip, I ordered with Steve as well ( after all he is cheaper for the same product then our host, no offence) And PP does not make a difference between US cars and ROW (Which I suppose you have, like me)
I'll be sending the number on the chip to Steve too.
Let me know how it turns out for you.

Cheers,

Will do, Geronimo. Thanks !

Yes, mine is a Euro too. I donŽt know why I am so worried taking out and disconnecting the DME module - hence my stupid questions regarding battery disconnect or not. Let me know if you found any part of the "number-seeking" maneuver troublesome.

Markus, I did Beta testing for Steve and have swapped my chip at least 6 times. I never disconnected the battery and didn't have any problems.

Thanks Wavey - that sounds like reliable information.

I will give it a try tonight (7pm here now), after putting the kids to bed.

Changing chips ?

Your insight is always very valuable. A little less cryptic, please.

Oh, OK. I must have missed that one.

Interesting how a thread on disconnecting or not disconnecting the battery just flies away with lots of good info !

So what happened Markus? Was your chip soldered in? Did you order a new one? How did it go?

Sorry, Ianc

Between working, four kids and a demanding (albeit sweet) spouse, I just have not found the time for it yet.

IŽll post when I do.
