Help identifying engine tin
I got this piece with a batch of engine tin, and I don't recognize it. There's some kind of 'scoop' formed on the driver's side up where it mounts against the chain cover. I believe the very early 911s had a fuel pump in that area. Could that be it?

Yes, that is for a ’65-’66 Type 901/01 engine with Solex carburetors. The clearance was for the two fuel pumps. I think it was also used with the 901/05 engine with Weber carburetors and possibly the very early 901/02 911S and 901/06 911 engines until the parts were used up. The chain cover still had the casting (not machined) for the fuel pumps.
Best, Grady

I need a machinist to cut an adapter for the V8 to corvair trans not much else needed for that one. The turbo just needs the motor re-installed. I need about another 6 hours in the day then I'd be set.
