Brad, Thanks for the interest..........................and to all others that have expressed interest in this project. The EFI engine has been installed in Tony's (Wolverine) IROC clone and I have it pretty much all wired up, while Tony works on the plumbing. I expect that he will be posting some progress shots soon. I have received some quotes for the machined parts and I have the pricing 98% complete, so all of those that have expressed interest, I will get back to you by this weekend. Also, while I have been working on the install, I've purchased more parts and I am making minor changes to improve the design.......It's making things take a bit longer, as I fiddle about, but I just want to get it right...........I have also progressed on a configuration that uses MFI throttle bodies. This design will be on the engine test stand....using my 2.7S engine, before January is through. I will post as I go. I am also designing adapters that will take the place of the Weber manifolds entirely and accept the Speed Triple Throttle bodies as a direct bolt-on..............I've been busy, but I apologize for being late in updating and mostly in getting back to folks in a timely manner. Stay tuned................I am close.

I have been watching this thread for a while. Great work.
I would like more information on how you assembled your throttle rod to cable adapter on the old CIS linkage plate. FYI I did not see what MS code you are running. I found that the MSII-Extra code works great. Make sure the 16x16 table option is selected. This will give you valuable resolution when tuning the ITBs. compress the MAP transition section to give more bins. Most likely the VE table will have a steep ramp up above 77-80 kPa. Keep up the great work!

Looks similar to my project, triumph itb's, zenith manifold, Megasquirt, Edis 6.
Take a look, DDK - Die Deutschen Klassiker :: View topic - Meagsquirt EFI on a 2.2T - Just gets better and better Tim |

I'll PM you about details once it's all set...I have a set of known-good weber carbs yet to be installed, but this one trumps them for sure!

Just a note, that may save you some time. I had to switch to Alpha-N tuning (TPS vs RPM) from Speed Density (MAP vs RPM).
You may find, as I did, that you are left with no MAP resolution when you start to drive. Crack the throttle on the Triumph TB's and the vacuum just disappears. I too used the cable to the TB's, but made a crude "slide". Yours looks a lot neater. I left the TB's bolted together, just as Triumph intended and "stretched" the port spacing in the adaptor plate (Well Gary71 did this bit). This saved re making the fuel rail. Did this change affect the TB to TB linkage ? or do they still reach ? The top of the stacks is quite close to the underside of the parcel shelf isn't it ? Great work BTW. Tim |

Tim,
Thanks for the tip. Where were you plumbed in for your map signal? I did opt for the cable actuation for the TB's, but I also have the standard carb x-bar/linkage design going forward in my shop, as well as a design that uses MFI throttle bodies, mounted to 930 spacers, modded for EFI, etc. I opted to stretch the TB spacing, slightly to match the Weber manifolds. This does change the TB to TB linkage, but not too difficult to mod them. I opted to buy the fuel rail blanks and machine them for this application. These were also machined to accept AN-6 fittings, etc. I also have a stretched manifold adapter design that allows the use of the TB's,and fuel rails as is. I'm trying, and will probably offer, several options. The top of the stacks, once we installed this in Tony's IROC, were a bit too tall. I cut them down just slightly and they now fit beautifully. regards, Al

For the MAP, I used push fit pneumatic fittings like this SMC | Pneumatics and Hydraulics | Pneumatic Fittings and Tubing | Fittings - Push In | Bulkhead Adaptors and Manifolds |KM13-06-10-3
pushed onto the Triumph idle control pipe stub. I loop it all together, and feed off this for Brake booster, fuel regulator reference, and Megasquirt (Now blanked off). Cheers Tim |
