Just a quick update on my conversion, standard 2.2T, Triumph TB's, EDIS-6. Rolling roaded at 156BHP and take a look at the torque curve (Yellow)

Keep the faith, the project is very worthwhile.

Hey Al,
Great article about this project in the latest edition (issue 6) of "Classic Porsche"

Just bought a set of Triumph TB myself :-) Collecting parts for a future build :-)

The issue also features another pelicanite, Margnus Walker, and his great outlaw collection

Issue #6 Classic Porsche in stores now

Hey Al and those interested, I just found Classic Porsche issue #6 with Al's write up on his Triumph ITB set up in Barnes and Noble. Looks like a great issue with Magnus's cars also featured. Now I just need to find a quiet moment to read it. Back into the shop for me!....

Great thread!!
I just bought a pair of tripples from a Sprint ST that I plan on using on my 2,0 liter flatsix too. Any tips etc. that I need to convert my carbed flatsix to MS is welcome so I think I will be keeping contacts with you about this!!

Now I notice that these ITB's were mounted to the stock manifold. What If I just make an adapter/spacer and mount then straight above the head intakes instead? They would get closer to the heads this way too?

Hebster,
This was a fun project for me and it was great to have an idea and follow it through to completion. I would be glad to answer any questions that you might have regarding the project. I also thought of making adapters to allow the ITBs to run straight into the head intake ports, or of keeping the Triumph spacing as-is and making an adapter for that, but after some consideration, I decided to use the Weber intake manifolds. One of the reasons for doing this was that I could modify the standard ITB to ITB linkage to work with this spacing. Also, the Weber/Zenith manifolds were plentiful and relatively inexpensive.

regards,
al
