Brake line part number for SC (removing proportioning valve - Carrera)
Does anyone have the part number for the SC brake line that runs from the M/C to the front coupler? I am removing my proportioning valve on my 84 Carrea and want to use this line in place of the valve.
Thanks -

Porsche changed the line config from old ('pre 84 style ) to new ('84-89 style), probably just to confuse everyone. It's easiest to just make up your own replacement line or you can just gut the p/v.

Like Bill said, I've always just gutted the ones in my Carreras. Just make sure you put some saran wrap or tin foil under the pv before you loosen the lines so the brake fluid doesn't run out on the painted surfaces.

I took the whole valve away and bended the small line part a bit to connect the line w/o the valve. This was in my -87

Agreed you can simply "stretch" the line to make up the lost length of the pressure-limiting valve. Porsche OEM brake line material is nice & flexible, unlike the cheap storebought pre-flared lengths that are much stiffer.

Benefit to removing or disabling the valve?
