Beautiful fab work too.

Has the builder had any other significant Porsche race car ownership/experience? Is this his first total ground up fabrication of a historic race car or has he done others Porsche or otherwise ?

Thanks for sharing !!
He has no race history. Engineer by trade.
He has done rebuild/restoration of 911's
Really focusing on getting all according to spec and to not make any shortcuts.
This, and family with small kids is why this will be a project going over years

Hi,

Fascinating project

How will the weight compare with the factory car?

Here are photos of a road converted Derek Bell signature car, the second has some detail which may be of help.

Good luck,
Paul

Interesting to see the differences in the chassis.

Here is the nose of 962-170 which is almost the last Porsche 962 chassis produced. They went full monocoque on the nose of it.

Interesting how racecars develop over time.
ANY chance of asking ypur freind what kind of money he would want for a full set of plans on cd cad steven brown 818 325 5187 ca. ah any of the body molds around looking for a possible car for a 4 rotor rotary engine
