Xmas break projects, what did you do?

I was fortunate to have a long winter break so I did quite a bit of maintenance on the cars:

-new pads & rotors, fluid flush on my daily driver
On the Carrera:
-new brake hoses front and rear, added speed bleeders
-brake flush
-pedal cluster rebuild
-new clutch spring
-adjust clutch
-detail wheel wells and clean wheels (while I had all wheels off)
-wash car

I didn't get around to replacing the shift coupler.

Oh ya, and I did get quite a few hours out in the canyons....,

Let's see... a new (rebuilt) alternator installation, chain tensioner update, fuel injection investigation, and investigating my centrifugal advance. Christmas was good to me this year.

Removed all glass, interior, electrical for redesign of interior (racecar). Will be installing flush mount side & rear lexan, repainting interior white after reinforcing safety cage & suspension and rewiring the entire car with new custom wiring.

Well, I...

Applied 20" of blown-in insulation in my under-insulated attic space

re-routed my rain downspout across the back of the house to a common discharge

Installed four, six-panel entry doors in the second floor of the house (oh and trimmed out those doors as well)

Installed a new Grohe shower arm and shower head and re-caulked the master bath

and partied my fanny off.

Who has time to work on the 911...

1) Replaced fuse box with ATO style block from Fred Cook
2) Replaced instrument cluster backlights with LEDs from Etarga
3) Euro style H4's installed with 80/100W bulbs
4) Removed stock leather driver's seat and removed the leather to sew a seam that was coming apart.
5) Reinstalled front trunk heater system after 3 years (!) of sorting out a small electrical meltdown.
6) Lubed and aligned window regulators to fix slow window issue on both sides.
7) Then went for a drive along the front range of the rockies.

It was a good Xmas break!

Christmas day I installed some Rebel Racing Coilovers

Then New Years day I parked it in the garage and pulled the front control arms off to have them worked on.

Put my '78 SC up on jacks and pulled the front suspension off for a complete Elephant Racing rebuild, thread here.

It was bloody cold in the garage so I didn't get as much done as I wanted. But I progress a little bit each night. I found some nightmare problems that I solved with luck, so a new control arm, new spindle spacers and new bearings.

Even with the nightmare stuff, I still love it!
