BTW, what does the average shop charge in hours to R& R an engine. Sounds like a decent pro should be able to do a carbed, non AC car in 4 hours without a problem.

Also, ATV jack 1st drop & top end observations & questions
with plywood like this 1st drop & top end observations & questions OR this supporting engine at removal looks like not a bad idea... What do you think guys?

i once dropped a motor in the middle of a lap of Eastern Creek when the motor mount bolts loosened...or likely werent tightened...
that makes mine "the fastest" since i was doing about 60 kmph and all you guys were standing still for yours...;-)

The ceiling hoist is nice if you want to take the time to set it up. It's also out of the way and can be used for other jobs.
Floor hoist has to be stored if you buy and takes up floor room but has the mobility of load function.

Just under 2 hours dropping the engine on my 912E after work today, including complete removal of drive shafts and getting gunk in the eyes........
