Place the flat tip of a sturdy screwdriver on the edge of the nut, then tap with a hammer to loosen.

Another way to do it is to place an open ended wrench horizontally onto the nut (actually I think it's a bolt) and use something else (another wrench) placed vertically on the handle of the wrench as a lever to turn.

And open ended wrench for the bolt side, with a boxed end works best, you can use another wrench or a screwdriver in the boxed end with leverage to turn it.

So the nut is not part of the bracket. They are separated?

You don't want to damage the oil line and sender that are in the way.
In typical P fashion it's just more work but remove the sender and block, to access the bracket. Then replace the sealing washers and torque correctly. Of course a pita.

You can try to grind down the tips of an open end (17mm?) wrench until it fits OK. Then unscrew the fastener; lefty-loosey (counter clockwise). The problem is, if you use a cheap wrench the tips will spread apart if the fastener is really tight, so go slow with the grinder. That said, you might have to do what's been suggested - remove the pressure sender and mounting block. I don't remember, but it might be possible to grind down the box end of a wrench, removing just enough material until the wrench fits over the fastener. Also, have you tried a thin-wall 3/8" drive socket (SnapOn) on a wiggle-wobble?

I am 90% sure they are separate, it's been a while since I removed mine.

A short-thin wall socket is the answer.

Len,
If you're removing it with the intent to discard it, I've been looking for that bracket and would like to buy it from you.

Mike

Take the 10mm bolt off that is to its right to open up access a bit. Then use a thin wall socket on a wobble with a long extension to clear the oil line.

*Why is there a puddle of oil there?

As for the oil, It is coming from the oil line rubber hose, that is on my list to fix this winter. I will clean it up and see if there is any other leaks

pull the top of the bracket towards you (the rear) as you turn the nut. this will help to turn the bolt.

you need the 17mm socket that is a universal joint "socket" or wobbly as JW calls it. the wobbly that you put a socket on is too long

A/C bracket

I would remove the oil pressure sender and base first. Don't try to remove just the sender as you will most likely do terrible damage to your engine block! Once the sender/base are out of the way, loosen with a wrench.
