Still waiting for someone to post data other than vent temps..... personally I would like to see what are the temps at the entrance and exit of both condensers, at least, for both forward and reverse flow situations. First is to benchmark the std arrangement, in order to get an idea of how much heat is getting removed from the rear cond and possibly added to the engine, very roughly, not going thru the Qdot calculations .
Then with the reverse flow setup someone could provide those temp numbers.
In this case, the rear cond. should be cooler by the amount of heat removed by the front cond.
So how much cooler air is the engine getting? 5 degrees or 40 degrees change ????
Will it make a difference in oil temps?
We have heard all the talk and theories, the data will show.
Well I was not going to get involved but ,...show the data.

You are not lying. However, 29F at the vents should not be sustainable.

I believe You would need for a proper valid test of comparative analysis at least 4 simultaneous temperature readings on the condensers at the same time , including simultaneous high side and low side gas pressures, simultaneous engine rpm, and resulting simultaneous air vent temperatures, simultaneous evaporator temperature @ the same exact time for the static test, followed by the same monitoring setup on an extended driving test.

Not to mention an integrated DATA LOGGER

Good Luck getting this from a DIY'er

DIY'ers are not laboratory testing facilities, so you're asking A LOT

George Why go through all that ;; simply hook up some temporary hoses after "you already know your current a/c vent temps with out this installed at a certain @ ambient temperature" After temporarily hooking up reverse the gases test it @ the same ambient temperature and take your vent temp temperature "with A THERMOMETER" "THAT WILL ACTUALLY MEASURE AIR TEMPERATURE"
ANALOG OR DIGITAL, I like digital meat/cooking thermometers the best because they are very fast readings of changing temperatures, and you can find them in most grocery stores

NOT an IR or Laser pointing IR gun!! An infrared thermometer is a thermometer which infers temperature from a portion of the thermal radiation sometimes called blackbody radiation emitted by the object being measured. IT CAN NOT SENSE OR MEASURE AIR TEMPERATURE!

An infrared thermometer is a thermometer which "infers temperature from a portion of the thermal radiation sometimes called blackbody radiation emitted by the object being measured" BUT NOT FROM AIR! You can use an IR gun for surface's temperatures, but again NOT ACTUAL AIR TEMPERATURE,

A/C STANDS FOR "AIR CONDITIONER" NOT SURFACE TEMPERATURE!

BUT if you must go ahead and do it the hard way

the in out condenserS temps and the way you are wording what you are requesting will give you a skewed test result

I am trying to help you the easiest way

I forgot to say you can use an IR gun on the fittings on the condenser or the condenser itself because it is NOT AIR, it is surface temperature

Well, I use to have an Omega 32 channel data aq, that would be an interesting characterization.
You do it , right up your alley.

Do your own independent testing, this is better !
But I will come by to view your test if you like

I am completely bias because not only invented this I have installed Reversing The Gases Three times fully tested it and absolutely know it works, and have no interested in testing this again, it WORKS GREAT!

My interest is in state of the art PFC technology new designs and development that are even more efficient and/or PRECISE digital micro processor temperature control of of evaporators @ 32-33 degrees F

Or you CAN wait until the west coast 86 SC Carrera Cabriolet DIY owner posts his numbers and description after he installs the PFC's etc, I am sending him and let him test it for DIY early model 911 community I have given my invention too. The west coast Cabriolet DIY owner is my priority helping him be successful making his 911 ICECOLD

Gas reversal worked great for Bevis, too!

Given that Austin TX in August seems to be the benchmark for testing our A/C performance I tend to think "west coast" is not definitive enough. Seattle, for instance, is "west coast", as is SFO, but IMMHO neither of those would suffice as a comparative test.

Bakersfield, Ca, maybe ???

Reid, since you obviously missed it the first time, it would behoove you to read Eric's words of wisdom on IR thermometers, and then perhaps, you will stop spreading misinformation about them and their usefulness in a/c applications.

Oh, wait.

How does that temp probe work, again? Oh, yeah. The cold air from the AC cools down the metal of the probe. The probe is not measuring directly the air temp, but the temp of the probe surface. Holy crap, folks! Guess what the IR gun is measuring? That's right, the interior SURFACES of the AC ductwork. The very same principle as how a temp probe or thermometer might work. None of these instruments is directly measuring the air temp.

Yeah, measurement instrumentation is what I do, and have been doing, for decades now. That reminds me, the calibrated micrometer I sent you to use to measure your, ummm, probe? It was in excellent condition to measure very small lengths. I could send you the more sensitive one, of you need to measure smaller. Which, no doubt, you do.

You accidentally sent me the "Eric" model; please ship this one, and I'll report my finding to you, along with photographic evidence, forthwith!

Willy could pull 15 with the steel rod implant that you have to be 80 to receive, by law.

Hey Ronnieeeeeee

You know how Willie says we are married?

How about if he keeps it up we spill the beans about his Mrs at our consummation party and the noise she can crank out when she is being handled properly.
