Where to Test Oxygen Sensor
Hi All, I've been poring through old threads trying to find a picture of where to test the oxygen sensor. I have a Fluke Digital Multimeter ready to go.
I need to connect the positive to the signal wire, and the negative to the ground, while the engine is hot to test the sensor. That much I know. The only thing is, where is the sensor wire and which is the signal wire? Thanks!

Between the fluke multimeter a wide band oxygen sensor and a Bentley manual I'll be spending nearly a thousand this week just on tools! Thanks for the photo. Care to tell which is the ground?

it does not matter. just forget about the - or swap the leads if you don't want to see the - if you connect it backwords

This is going to sound like a really stupid question, but I'm REALLY new to all this. The Fluke has a setting for Volts DC or AC - I'm assuming that because the car uses a chemical battery, that the Alternator is also generating DC current and I should always test using the DC setting.
Correct?

In the pic above, you want to connect the Red lead from your DVM using alligator clips to post #1, on the connector going to the O2S and the Black lead to a good ground on the engine. You want to do this when the engine is hot or at 194F aka Operating Temps. At DC, note the voltage.
