I have had mine on for several years now and love the look. I chose the cheapest route ( around $1,100) I think it all depends on your skills to work with fiberglass as the parts are not just a bolt on and go. but it's a worthwhile endeavor and the weight saving is several hundred pounds (from this mod and all the other things you should do). So all you fence sitters, now is the time to get er done!
Anyone needing help, you can contact me, good luck.

SCHNELE 10-08-2009 03:21 PM

I think you need some help with the rear bumper gaps, good luck with that.

Brian911s 10-08-2009 03:49 PM

Well done, and in silver to, this is a color I never get tired off.
What have you done with your exhaust ?
And if you choose to go fore more RUF do the mirrors, you cant imagine
how a wind-silent car you gonna get.
It's looking great , congratulations.

Regards
Brian

Thanks Brian.

I had the tip cut of the stock exhaust and replaced it with a down turned tip. I had a hole cut into the other side and added a tip.

I would love the RUF mirror, but don't want to do any permanent body modifications like sealing the flag mirror holes. A set of 16x7, 16x9 color matched fuchs and I think I will be set for a bit.

I am really liking the look, but don't sell the 68.

:)80-911SC I read your post above and considered whether to respond to your undignified comment about me since I can sincerely harbor the same sentiment towards you. In the interest of not sullying this fine thread I decided to first respond with an apology to Mr. Brown as my comment was meant merely in jest, you see on page forty-three post 811 he was asking for help to remedy the same gap, later he is offering to help with the mounting, I can see how my tongue-in-cheek comment can be read to be critical but it was sincerely meant in jest. Life is too short and this stuff is way too trivial to offend anyone or insult anyone over. A photo of my car is indeed posted above and if you need any help I will be happy to answer your questions as to mounting original Ruf parts. I think my post is just below this one it is of my Ruf BTR.

Nice car!

Here's one that wore the rest of us out during the Rally in the Valley 9.18.09-9.10.09.
Quick isn't a fair description. :D

Dang thing was so fast that it was hard to catch it sitting still. The owner was eating when I got this one. ;)

Best,

James Brown 10-12-2009 08:32 PM

no problem SCHNELE, all is forgeven...you can mail me thoese ruf wheels any time to my home address!

SCHNELE 10-13-2009 06:02 AM

Hey James, I would send them but they won't fit your car as they are too wide, 9.5x17, 11.5x17 will not get under the fenders of a SC, so I will save you the trouble of trying to fuss with them.
