When i put it in it ran exactly the same but with a completely different tone, so i know the chip changed it but i didnt like the difference it made, i did not believe it was an upgrade thats worth $200, so i sent it back. End of story. Frank, kiss my brown eye!
You complained you smelled gas. A few weeks later you buy FR's chip. Your solution to the gas smell is to lean out the AFM? Move that spring a few notches. FR's page says not to do that. The chip wont work right. You shot yourself in the foot. You leaned out the AFM so that the chip couldn't work.

You screwedup the AFM and the chip didn't work.

It's settled then, he's not an idiot. Merely a moron. A few notches? I reckon that would lessen the smell of gasoline inside the car. Under the hood. Inside the combustion chamber.
THE 944 IS NOT A FREAKIN SCOOTER WITH A WEED EATER MOTOR TAPED TO THE BACK. Why didn't you try eliminating the head gasket by using permatex for those extra horsepower?

Someone showed me this last week.

Sad, very sad. What is the saddest? That a 15 year old plays with a scooter or that he is proud of playing with a scooter and made a web page. No helmet too.

This is quickly degenerating into a p*ssing contest - all well and good, but all you end up with is wet knees.

I seem to remember something about putting the chip in backwards, but honestly, I don't feel inclined to search for the thread - assuming it has not been deleted.

Unless the DME was faulty to begin with, any chip, regardless of who makes it, will not make a poorly running engine suddenly run better. Considering the modifications you are making\planning on making, the overall reliability of the fuel\air mapping on your car is questionable at best. As a mechanic, I certainly wouldn't want to even try troubleshooting.

Roastin944 - You had the chip and it didn't work for you - improperly installed or not (again, don't care to look) FR offered to take it back and it got lost in the mail - send registered and insure for value next time - the extra $5 is worth it. Consider yourself poorer but wiser.

Bad things happen for no reason and things do get lost in the mail quite frequently. - That really isnt justification to slam about a vendor in a public forum.

Ok, stepping off of my soap box.

I don't think he ever went to wilk's site any longer than it took to place an order. All the questions he asked were explained on the site.

Brown eye huh?... hmm, do you know how to wipe your a$$ moron or did your mommy forget to show you how to do that too. Once again, grow up, learn some manners, and maybe wear a helmet so you don't crack your friggining skull when you get overconfident in your abilities as an extreme skooter jag-off.

ps: I'm not interested in any more of your B.S. comments. Because you've chosen to trash someone personally because you don't know how to act appropriately and professionally when you've purchased something for your car that you're having a problem with, maybe you should just shut up and stop slamming peoiple because you're the one with the problem, which is, not being able to be honest about your mistakes that you created in your life.
Subsequently, You are a F-up and probablly will always be that way. You are just the kind of guy that I have to go collect money from because they stole something from there parents to get out of hock or buy drugs or borrowed money from someone that they can't pay back, and you have all of the excuses and answers and it never has anything to do with you, and it will never have anything to with you as long as you have a jaw that flaps up and down to fan the Bull$hit at people and teeth to grind in your sleep because your always trying to think up new ways to lie cheat and steal.

You were pretty cool until you pulled this stunt, now, well, you're just not.
So, don't focus on me and what I have to say, maybe you should start with yourself and clean it up, or someone's gonna mop the floor with your a$$ someday. You know where that is right? that place where your brown eye is.

So did HE put the chip in backwards, then?
