My turn, my turn!

1. Sell 911
2. Buy a nice, turn-key 944 or 951

My list has to follow in that order, unless I don't mind sleeping in the garage (The wife would kill me).

Yes NAPA....Not NASA... although it is almost that difficult.

The problem is that the lights are really picky about how they want to sit in the early "holders". This will be the third time I go in there.
can anyone tell me if the 1.5W bulbs are correct or if they've been replaced? A fairly knowledgeable lighting guy says that the only standard bulbs in that format are 3W or 5W. Although it wouldn't surprise me to learn that they're Porsche specific.

I must backdate my muffler bearings....I think one of them is going, so might as well replace them all while I'm in there.

1) Help ds475 pull his motor.
2) Convince him to give me any parts I want, for the help.
3) Kick him in the shin for not telling you guys he has most of the stuff you are looking for, early car.
4) Pray that I don't wreck my clunker soon.

Why sell the 911 for a 944, you ask. I don't have time & spare cash to make my '71 into the RS Carrera clone I originally envisioned. Although a hoot to drive, I need a little more practical 2nd car. Besides, I am a car guy, I want to try something different. This is my second 911, I want to try a 944 now.

2. When it starts, pray that my son doesn't wreck his 944

Gordon- Im not really sure about an early 944. I can tell you this. If an early 944 can swap to the later 944 85.5+ door panels then you can. I had to drill one extra hole in the door to mount the 968 panels. All other holes lined right up. Pretty easy, just takes awhile to get it right.

Add one to my list:

Figure out why the trunk of my '44 is filling up with cold, cold water even though I resealed the taillight that I thought was leaking.
