Porsche Crest Post your to-do lists.

Obviously there are hundreds of things many of us want to do to our cars, but what are the things you actually plan on getting done before or maybe during summer? I've been keeping a prioritized list this winter and have already gotten the joy of crossing off half of the items on it. So, what's on your list and why isn't it fixed already!?

Here's mine.
(in order of priority)
1. Fix Horns (need parts)
2. Fix Reverse lights (have parts, need to pull them off other car)
3. Replace Rear passenger bearings (too cold now)
4. Replace speedo cable (I'm lazy)
5. Passenger window switch-window won't go down (not important enough right now)
6. Seat upholstery/E-brake switch ($$$)
7. Clutch (car is still able to move)
8. CV joints (optional)
9. Refinish wheels (not enough time right now)
10.Rebuild engine ($$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$)

2) Enjoy maintenance free 951 for as long as possible
3) Buy MAF, Exhaust, Intercooler Piping, etc etc for 951 when I get some cash!!

Well the car is runing great so I'm just doing some other things. I just won some Blue H3 6000K foglight bulbs and 2 pairs of Blaupunkt PCx462 Coaxial 4"x6" Speakers both new on Ebay and waiting for it to arrive.

The H3 6000K foglight bulbs should be this bright.

The next thing I'm buying is a RRC6024 Flat Glass Composite headlight Conversion Kit. It's using a KRYPTON/XENON HID Bulbs with 4300K Color.

I've been considering getting some brighter foglight bulbs. Let me know how they compare to the old ones when you get them installed.

How did you replace the rear speakers?? Or did you just replace the fronts?

I have a set sitting in my garage....just don't want to tackle it bcz I don't know the easiest way.

Also...how much was the tint? And how did the rear hatch end up....I understand that is the most difficult part

Man, you read my mind on the idea of a thread topic. Here is my "re" list:

-repair cut in brake wear sensor line
-repaint (thinking of going to arctic silver)
-remove engine and replace all seals, gaskets, bearings etc...(ok fine, it will be a rebuild.)
-replace button on my heater control unit.
-rethread steering wheel or replace it.
-install dual port waste gate and new BOV
-replace all vaccum and water hoses
-replace bushings on the suspension anti-sway bars
-rebuild rear breaks due to lazy PO.

Those lights are blue tinted. Actually I have that whole kit bulbs included if anyone is interested in purchasing. BTW the lenses in that kit are NOT DOT approved. FYI.

I changed em out for Sylvania Silverstar 6024t. Very happy with em.

I took the easy way out and only replaced the front speakers. The back speakers are fine for now. I will have to replace them eventually....I keep it faded mostly to the front. I am happy with just having good quality sound.

I paid $300 for the tint. It took about 6 hours for him to get the rear window right with one piece. I had to go back the next week to have a few bubbles removed once everything dried. Looks great now.

I had lower quotes for the tint, but I had seen this guys work before, and he came highly recommended. I felt the car deserved having it done right.
