To do. . . hmmm. . .
1. Get an E2 and enjoy smoking all the ricers / M5s out here ![]() Oh wait, there's that $100K+ price tag thing isn't there. . . OK then: 1. New tires 2. A/C compressor & hose replacement & charge-up 3. Replace rear hatch "pins" so hatch will sit level (parts came in today!) 3. Some little stuff (3rd brake light kit, fuel filter change) 4. Replace rear deck carpeting (no leaks from rear hatch now) 5. Replace torn seats (new ones should show up next week so I'm told) 6. Swepco in the tranny 7. Check / repair cruise control computer if necessary 8. Replace all belts / seals / rollers & H2O pump in a month or so. . . Just had 'em tensioned but they're getting old. 9. New paint job More-or-less in that order to get a "new" Phat-looking and mechanically excellent early 944 out of my beast. Then get a 951 to keep it company and somehow convincing the wife to not castrate me with a rusty knife!

Stop fronting.

I just replaced my rear speakers - requires taking the windows out. Stock speakers are 4x6's, but--surprise--there is space to upgrade to 6-inchers without cutting. Huge difference in sound quality, especially low/mid-end.
My to-do list: Replace 2 bent wheels Charge A/C (it's only March and 80+ degrees today) Stop rear hatch from rattling (perfection not needed - will settle for progress) Repair numerous small door dings Upgrade to 968

- Fix damn dent that has been on my car forever (first had to wait until I saved up the money, then had to wait until the weather got nice and warm. I don't drive my car much in winter, thought it was pointless to fix it until I could actually drive the thing on a regular basis again)
- Unjam the cd changer and get back 12 of my favorite CDs stuck inside - New stereo. Still have the stock system, with a 12-disc changer added by PO. - Get new tires. Currently have quite a bit of tread left on the current tires, but I hate 'em. Mechanically, my car seems to be very solid w/ no probs (knock on wood...)

I know it's a 911, but here is what I have done since last November:
1. Complete tear down and engine rebuild. 2. Backdate heat system. 3. Rebuild rear suspension and replace rear wheel bearings. 4. Remove rear bumper pads and repaint rear bumper.

So, here's what I've marked off the list last month: 1. New rotors & machined out calipers. 2. New front turn signal lenses 3. New front fog light trim pieces. On to my 'still need to do' list: 1. Fix those stupid $%^#$ dashlights! 2. Replace rear speakers (got new ones -- just need to put them in!) 3. Take out radio/cd unit and fix loose connection. 4. Give my car a good detailing. 5. Paint the rest of my track wheels 6. Learn to drive faster! 7. Clean and paint my garage. That's about it... - Z.

Ahmet

Dash bulbs can be best procured by removing them, going to NAPA and asking for replacements. They pull keep trying until they get it right.
Yes NAPA....Not NASA... although it is almost that difficult. The problem is that the lights are really picky about how they want to sit in the early "holders". This will be the third time I go in there.

I've been lucky and my dash bulbs have been okay. They aren't super bright, but I can see the guages at night.
