after...

Total install time: 2 minutes.
Weight increase: 1 ounce.
Cost: $2 (entry fee to wrecking yard)
Intimidation factor: x10 (Kind of like wearing a gun with no bullets).

From what I've researched, this is the only practical way to convert a NA to a turbo.
When shopping for a track car, I originally told my son I'd get us something higher horsepower, V8/Supercharge/Turbo. I picked the 944 NA mostly because of it's handling, there is a strict Spec class, bountiful parts cars, and it's good to learn in. So, I made it a turbo to keep my deal.
You can officially call me a poser, I guess.
Maybe it'll amuse or confuse the track tech inspector.

off of a Saab 900, because you just don't find turbo Porsches in the wrecking yards.
I did find a 944 badge though - minus the 9, since my car number is 44, I stuck it on the bumper for luck.

really?? If someone is so serious that they'd consider me a liar over a joke, they need to invest in a sense of humor. It was just stuck on with silicone but I may just really secure it for my next track day just to see what the reaction is.

Hmmm, I may use this technique to convert my 924S into a hybrid. I'd like the better mileage, and there are a couple of Prius' in the parking lot to "borrow" the badge from.

BTW, I get the joke, and I think it's funny for a 944 Spec car. Maybe put a couple of NOS stickers on the windows as well.
