Engine is all clean, tranny almost ready... The engine bay is almost ready. Still have to remove the oil tank, lines and oil cooler/fan. Other then that just waiting on the RH Kit. Another week or two.

![]() The engine compartment is detailed. A little undercoating on the firewall to cover up some of the glue from the old sound mat. Should have my RH kit soon... |

I like it. Keep it up.
Never mind the nay-sayers. It's your car. Create what you want. As a reminder, the Cobra and GT40 were both English cars that became what they did after some enterprising individuals stuffed American V8 power under the hood. I, for one, REALLY REALLY LIKE(D) MY COBRA AND GT40...either of them will kick the crap out of most Porsches on the track. And, this coming from a guy with 5-6 of them at the moment. OK, I'm no purest. But come on guys, lay off.

So what did you order from Renegade? A complete kit or only select parts?

Back in the 60s and 70s my dad was putting Chevys in a Ferraris, the cars wernt worth much and neither are these. Cars are all about the personal experience so do to it whatever makes you enjoy it the most!

Vandit, a complete kit from RH. You don't only get a kit but all of their experience. Steve is great with emails - doesn't leave anything out. I'm certainly not planning to sell my 89. Its about having a fun, drivable toy. If all goes as planned the ls1 and G50 will be back in the car on Monday or soon after...

I have a LS1 and a small block conversion. Talk to Scott at Renegade. Its is Las Vegas ( not Cali ) like someone said earlier in the thread. I will be doing a LS9 into my 935 clone down the road and will get the parts from Renegade, that will be my third converted car. Aside from parts they have the know how and have a answer for most any techincal question or problem that might come up.

This is way of my league friends. I just want a nice and conservative 911 SC to drive around with my 4 year old son and once in a while stick the pedal to the ground. I just bought mine after driving around for months in my Toyota Corolla with a baby seat in the back. Yes I am 41 and haven’t started to use Rogaine. But that is besides the point.
My wife drives the minivan and some how I worked my way up into purchasing a 911sc out of Florida. OK call it impulse. Well in deed I did what normally many people will never suggest and that is to buy a car over the phone. The car is absolutely amazing. OK it needs some work. But nevertheless, it’s a Porsche 911 sc and is mine. It took me one day to figure out everything that I want to do with the car and it started with new rubbers and a fresh paint job. I hope to enjoy this 911 sc for a long time. I also hope that your LS1 conversion project goes well. |

Wish I could see their shop! I added the clutch kit towards the end and that added the time. I think they say 4 to 6 weeks on average. I also had the G50 so perhaps that wasn't as common.
