I have one of these. I shot a lot of weddings with it. Better than any 35mm film camera of the day.

I still have my old Yashicamat TLR. Just came across it yesterday in its case.

The handmade card was one my granddaughter made for my oldest sister in August. We thought we were going to lose her to pneumonia but she rallied. I took the picture of her card collection on Friday when I visited. I got word this morning she passed at age 93.

My condolences.

My mom's mother is going to be 100 the day after Christmas. Last Tue I got word that my 78yo mom was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. At this point there's no telling who will go first (mom isn't going to get any treatment other than to ensure that she remains comfortable).

They are super cool to see when driving through the country. And the lack of other signs is fantastic. Some drives in the US make me want to go pyro because of the amount of billboards.

I wonder if there was a "sign" like that on a hill south of St. Andrews in Scotland. Saw something like that in 2001.

C7 Corvette ZR1 averages 173 mph over 118 miles, tailpipes melt the back of the car in the process.

For my 1960 VW bug with the mighty 36 flywheel HP when new, 0 to 60 in 72 seconds (really!) I bought a set of 4 recaps, little 14 inch skinny tires, a set of four recap tires mounted and balanced, tax and out the door price was $28.00 That would have been in 1970. Top speed of 60 MPH on level ground performance. If there was any head wind, 60 was impossible.

Dad gave me an interest free $600 loan, I paid him back, but I had to pay for 100% of all operational costs, except insurance.

15s are certainly possible. It has only been 55 years.

Michelin X tires were the tits in 1966 when I bought my ‘60 beetle, but there was no way I could afford a set. I bought a wrecked Karman Ghia for $300 that has nearly new Michelins on it, sold the engine, and sold the carcass to a scrap yard for $10 or $12. So I got free tires - while testing them out, I spun the car and bumped into a guard rail. Tires won’t make a VW handle like a Ferrari - lesson learned.

BTW, your bug should have had 155x15 tires.

After I mangled my right front fender on the guard rail I primed the new one, but never got around to painting it. I found a toy VW that was close to the color of mine and primed its fender to match my car. My son thought it needed red and blue wheels and colored them in for me. I never got it all off.
