My dad is 78, got vaccinated as soon as it was available (Moderna) to him, which was about 8 months ago, and he just had a antibody test done as part of his annual physical; his doctor said that his antibody level means the booster shot is totally unnecessary at this time. Like Chocohaulic and some other members have mention in this thread and others, it seems nutz to get any follow-up injections without first getting tested for antibody level.

BTW - he has not gotten Covid thus far (had a scare prior to vaccination but tested negative).

**** it guys, Im getting jabbed tomorrow . My wife is still in the ICU. I go there every day . Right into the belly of the beast . This is where every Covid patient in my county is right now .
WI had Covid 6 months, ago, and also one year prior
Leaving tonight, there is a family in the room next door, saying goodbye to their 41 year old dad. Covid
This is the second person to die from covid in the room next to my wife . In 3 days. The vent my wife is on, is called the covidien. Too close to home
The ICU nurse tells me that once you go on the vent, you are done.
Will I be able to tell when they activate me with 5g? Do I get to be a total dick now and talk down to everybody who held out ?

I hear this often from our patients who are caregivers at the local hospitals.

Everyone makes their own risk assessment. It's quite likely that the people you're seeing passing away made their own assessments too and also likely that almost all of them were unvaccinated. That's the reality of this mess whether you like it or not.

Sorry to read your wife is on a vent. I hope she is getting great care and recovers to good health. It's an especially difficult time to be hospitalized.
