God......"He doesn't like to be called that."
Seriously. WTF! And there's another "add-on" mini series, "The Plan"? Z-man, PM me your address and beverage request. There's no way you can legitimately claim I didn't lose our bet.

There are two connections between BSG and Bloomington, Illinois.
Mary McDonnell's brother or sister lives here. I know this because my wife substitute taught a class with her nephew in it. Michael Angeli is one of the writers. His sister is a member of our local PCA group. Also, Sam Shephard was considered for the role of William Adama. He is a frequent visitor to Bloomington.

Hulu has part 1 up, i watched that. So far it has answered not a single question, all kinds of very strange seemingly unrelated flashbacks.
Very ood. Hope the 2nd half is the best episode of the whole series... |

Spoiler...
RDM said the finale will be a story about the characters and I think it was just that. The flashbacks may have been an easy way out but they worked out ok; they did add depth to some of the characters. I was rather surprised that the final fate of the fleet turned out to be a well predicted one, but the rest of the plot was refreshing. It did feel a bit rushed at some points but overall I enjoyed the finale. For me the most memorable part was when Gaius said "you know, I know about farming" and nearly broke into tears. When it was all said and done he was back to being himself, instead of the new self image he created to run away from his past and even his father, without even knowing. I thought that was oh so very human and pretty much summed up the character side of this "humanistic sci-fi" series.

That's my understanding... Just because Baltar's "head six" was only seen by Baltar, that doesn't mean that all angels are like that...
But how do they explain Starbuck being the harbinger of death? If you had to blame anyone, might as well be Chief Tyrol. I can relate to Starbuck's greatest fears - I too fear that I will be forgotten when I'm no longer around. So that beat I can relate to. Lee's final goodbye to Starbuck "You will not be forgotten, Kara Thrace." was touching. So was Ander's comments to Starbuck - "See you on the other side." Very interesting way they mixed the scientific realm with the spiritual. Loved Cavil's reaction when he realized that immortality was no longer within his grasp. Also loved the use of the old centruian models. Was the final episode what I expected? No. Did it make me feel uncomfortable? Yes. Was the ending a fitting ending to the series? Absolutely. So all along, the show had a totally nihilistic feel to it- no matter how hard one tries, you can't escape the dark. But in the end, all that was changed to a more existentialistic view - mankind was able to transcend their pending doom. Ron D. Moore's cameo at the end was a clever touch too. It was a great show. The best Scifi show I've ever gotten into. Possibly my favorite show ever. So say we all. -Z-man.
