The Sharks played a tighter game 3 spending more time in the Penguins zone than the prior two games. But they still had a low shot count, which doesn't amount to a hill of beans when you win. I fine it interesting every goalie the Pens have faced in the playoffs is the 2nd coming off Roy. Yeah the Pens are high in shot count but probably 70% are easily saved by an NHL goalie. Murray needs to keep the soft ones out. The Pens would have won game 3 without Ward's going in.

Game 4 prediction... Pens 4-2 with an empty netter ;)

You must admit that Donskoi's shot was pretty good. Long side over the trap from a relatively sharp angle is pretty good.

Every city outside of PIT calls him Cindy, or crybaby, but as much as I dislike him, he is playing very well in this series. As far as Thornton's 'cheap shot', at first I felt that was awesome!, then I felt bad, but now I'm back to awesome.. lol..

Although it pains me to say so. The Pens have been playing the best hockey since about December. I dont care what the records said in the regular season. They also got better and better as the season came to a close. I had to pick them in my bracket pool but I really dont want them to win.

I will say there were a couple of years where the refs let the goons wreck havoc on him with no penalties being called and he complained. The Pens had no one to defend him. Imagine Gretzky with no Dave Semenko?

Wow, serious man crush there. No one said he wasn't talented. He can be the best player to ever wear a pair of skates and still be a crybaby.

In the meantime, I have the feeling that the Sharks are done. 2-0 going into the 3rd in Game 4. Sadly, I will be shocked if this series goes past 5 games. :(

There is a tendency to forget Wayne had a bit of a reputation to whine but as 'Buck' points out, one would inevitably get some face-time with one D. Semenko if one became overly rambunctious & took liberties with his star teammate. Crosby gets his share of hacks & whacks & when he starts to bitsch to the officials as he has doesn't have the luxury of a 'designated minder', some folks get upset. You have to know Crosby is no angel & more than likely gets his licks in somewhere along the line. I believe it is all part & parcel of the 'sending a message thing' to the on-ice officials

We all agree on one point; the guy can flat-out play.
I ain't bettin' against the series being over Thurs. so 'Buck's' prediction of "Pens in 5" is looking pretty good at the moment.

..but he didn't have a reputation for cheap shots. You combine whining with cheap shots and dives (which I agree Sidney does less of now) and that is why so many fans dislike him, IMHO.
