Man the Penguins are fast! When they scored two so fast I thought "uh-oh" but the Sharks came back strong. Their defense was very , very good.

That was a very entertaining hockey game last night. I would love to see this go 7 games. I have the Pens in my bracket pool but being a Flyers fan I would rather see the Sharks win.

After last night, I feel this series will probably go to 7 games - good stuff to be sure!!

Wow OT didn't last very long. The Sharks have got to pick this up. They got away with too many men on the ice twice but luck ain't gonna get it done. Again the Penguins are freakin' fast!

They sure do. If SJ splits at home this could be a very disappointing final.

Seems as though some of the 'local pundits' are having a bit of a field day with the Sharks' Logan Couture's claim "Crosby cheats". He really couldn't defend his comment so one is reminded of the old pro sports adage - "If you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin". I think old Sid is just beating their asses in the dots. Flat's got it pretty much nailed - if the best San Jose can do at home is split - the series could be over fairly quickly. I am still going Pens in 6.

Did not like the cheap shot on Crosby, compliments of Thornton.

I wonder if the other NHL players dislike Sidney as much as fans in all the other NHL cities seem to? Was Thornton's cheap shot a reflection of that? Being from Phiily, my opinion is totally biased.

I have always wondered: if the Flyers had been able to draft him, would Flyers fans have been willing to put up with his whole "golden boy" act? Or would he have been run out of town? It seems that Eric Lindros had some of the same issues, and he certainly did not end up as a fan favorite, even with all the talent he had.

Yeah, it does sound vaguely familiar. Just like all the Marchand haters that will gladly accept him playing for Canada (or their team if he moves on from the B's).

That said, Cindy has been a whining crybaby for years.

As a kid who grew up playing hockey and still playing at nearly 52 all of these stories are fantastic. They're what I dreamed about and was never good enough to realize my dreams.

Worth reading.
