Philly is the one team I truly loathe. There are other teams that I like watching lose but I respect them (the original 6 to be specific), but Philly I truly despise.

BTW: I love your restaurants. ;-)

Tucker would have been suspended in todays NHL for that head shot

It's pretty amazing how every round the next team will be able to match the Pens speed. First Washington because they're more physical and will take it away, (Pens in 6), then Tampa can match it, Pens in 7. Tampa put up a good fight. Then San Jose' because they have the same speed AND they're tougher, not. On NHL dot com 17/21 'experts took the Sharks. They may still be right and you gamblers may want to place a bet. I'm sure Vegas will give awesome odds on the Sharks but the Pens keep proving the experts wrong. I'm not counting any, (penguin), chicks before they hatch but they look good.
God forbid I give Crosby credit for being a leader, playing with purpose, focus, determination, & grit. He has shown the way on how to win. Now finish it off and hoist another cup.
One more thing I do have to say I'm disappointed how Crosby whined last night when Vlasic took him into the Sharks bench. I swear he just skated away but I must be wrong.

GO PENS!!!!

Probably would have been suspended back then, if they hadn't been playing the Flyers.

Well boys, (I know most of you don't care for the Penguins), tonight is a night to make history. A home Stanley Cup clinching win. Personally I'm super excited. Let's hope for a good game and may the best team win. Which has been the Pens but anything can happen.

Tonight is a special night.... at just a week or so shy of my 52'nd birthday I am making my triumphant return to the ice after 3 months of taking shots in my back from huge needles and 3 months of hard back rehab.

Our 8:30 faceoff has me in the bar by 10:15 in time to catch much of the 3rd period of the Cup game too!

flatbutt 06-09-2016 04:29 PM

Yup this could be it. Here's hoping for OT going to the underdogs.

You rooting for the Pens Flatbutt? Haha, if you recall the Quins were the 'dogs at the start of the finals.

1990C4S 06-09-2016 05:19 PM

And underdogs against Zer-0vechkin.

Patent pending and copy-write. I own that name now.

2porscheguy 06-09-2016 05:36 PM

2-2 on 7 shots....holly crap!

The citizens of Pittsburgh have shown up just outside the Consol center....all of them!
COOL!

Wow. Props to you. If I had that kind of back trouble it would be tough for me to go back out there.

COOL!

Now 3-2
Problem is that the Sharks are making nice shots but also making big mistakes and the Pens are capitalizing on them. Sharks penalty kill looks like Keystone cops doing and Chinese fire drill. Not controlling the puck in their own zone. Give aways. Bad turnovers. :(

Buckterrier 06-09-2016 06:06 PM

Nerves for the Pens certainly played a part in the start but if Murray gives up one more he needs yanked. Sharks have legs tonight for sure.

Por_sha911 06-09-2016 06:10 PM

The question is if the Sharks will play a full 60 minutes.
Game 4 they played for 10 then took a nice long nap.

flatbutt 06-09-2016 08:14 PM

Well the underdogs had their night tonight boy o boy. As for game 6, at this point who knows. But for SJ to pull that off in Pittsburgh is fairly amazing. Jones was huge with 42 consecutive saves after that first period.

Bowling 06-10-2016 08:02 AM

Jones was the MAN!

trader220 06-10-2016 08:24 AM

Amazing how much my skills erode in 3 months off the ice. I was just happy to play and contribute. When the day comes that I am that "guy" who the rest of the bench would prefer misses the game I'll know its time to retire. Feeling good today, looking forward to next weeks game. Thanks for the kind words.

One of the best parts of playing is being able to watch the 3rd period of last nights game at the rink bar with beer in hand !!

No question Jones was the man last night!

creaturecat 06-10-2016 09:25 AM

au revoir to Mr Hockey, Gordie Howe.
i had the pleasure of watching him play against the Soviets, many moons ago, in Winnipeg Manitoba.
