Very very nice. Time for some euro style bumpers.

Damn. Over the 2 months I've had my E30, I'm becoming quite smitten with it.
I'd love to drive its predecessor. Your car looks awesome. |

It's actually quite fun to drive. Really smooth shifting, quiet and descent brakes.
I'll be adding 14 inch 325 rims ( bottle caps ) with 205/60 tires. Hankook Ventus S2, I think. KT

Sans bumpers, it would look 10000000x better. Or just find a nice Alpina replica bumper/front spoiler. Like all '80s German cars, they look amazing without the stupid US bumpers.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() KT, I have to say that this thread is giving me some bad ideas. I've been itching for a project.

I think the euro bumpers and lowering a bit would be very nice. The clean lines of the older BMWs have aged very well, IMO.
Great that you took something and made it better. Guys like you fight the entropy in the world.

I'd suggest a 15 inch wheel, not a 14. Better tire selection, better looks. I'm also a fan of the basket weave style wheel, as on that 323i. That was the first BMW I considered buying. Neat cars. JR |

What is the bolt pattern/spacing on the E20? A set of 15" euro-baskets would look very nice.

Thanks for the ideas. Nice pictures, too.
My favorite was the blue one with the basket weave rims. Our car definitely needs lowering. KT

Rammstein, did you mean E21? I think an E20 is the 2002.

I'd look in the classified ad section of the BMWCCA magazine Roundel and on whatever BMW forums you can find.
I have a set of wheels that might fit your car. They are Borbet (Type C, I think) in a 7x15 size for an E30. I don't remember the offset. Here's a picture of one I cleaned up. The others would look the same, with a wash. I don't think any of them have any curb rash. It's been a while since I looked at them. JR

I give up- BMWs have too many codes...
Dammit. Ok, I meant your car. Your car is an E21, right? |

Personally I dig the minilites on the black car.
As for the bumpers, can you disable the bumper shocks as you can on the E30? From what I've been told you can essentially drill out the shocks and slide the bumper inwards. I would do some google and forum searches.

I need a source for lowering springs, too.
