Got the rc plane in the air.......had a lot of fun.......barrel rolls, vertical climbs.......receiver freaked out.....throttle stuck open.......hit a tree at 55-60mph.....40ft high

Airframe looks pretty far gone, but servos and engine should be fine, just have to wait for a nice wind to knock it out or pay one of the tree pruner guys a few bucks when I see one

Only one short meeting for me today. Reports to review/edit. Not too terrible. I hope your day is pain-free.

Morning everyone!

So last week, one of the hourly employees took my parking spot, but eventually came to my office to apologize. He informed me that there was a tractor trailer parked in the way. They were coming in early because we were on mandatory overtime for the production workers. Well I made a huge mistake and said, "whatever, that's fine." I am pretty laid back and not a stickler for details. Well I found out he is the kind of guy when you give him an inch, he takes a mile. All week this week he has been parking in my spot every day. Today, I asked him if he wanted my grave plot. He looked at me in confusion. I realized it wasn't worth getting upset or arguing after he looked at me like an idiot. So I made a new spot, in front of his car. Now he wont be able to leave at lunch, and hopefully gets the hint. My boss just laughed and warned me that you have to watch out for Cliff. I guess I had to learn the hard way.

That is pretty damn funny!

I'd probably have just crawled under his car and disconnected the drive shaft...

We never did get access to our our garage. The roofers trailer is blocking the doors. Fortunately the nice neighbors across the street did not mind us parking in their driveway. The bonus was the neighbor's wife was out of town visiting her daughter so my car just to spend the night in the garage. My wife's car had to sit outside in their driveway.

Those roofers are tough. It was 95 degrees and very high humidity. I was getting sweaty just walking around in the shade. I can't imagine throwing a bundle of shingles on my shoulder and climbing a ladder to haul them over to the other side of the roof.

I was thinking about pulling the pin on his linkage for the automatic shifter. That way it would just sit there in Park no matter what gear he tried to put it in. The maintenance crew asked me if I wanted them to move it with a fork truck. They talked about putting it up on the roof...haha. I don't think maintenance like that guy too much. I found out that he complains to them a lot.

At a former work place there was no assigned parking but I always got there first and got "my" spot close to the back door, easy to get out of the parking lot, no door dings spot. One of the new guys would go move his car to that spot while I was gone to lunch. One day I brought my floor jack to work with me. When the dude took my spot I just used the jack under the rear end, and pushed his pickup down the slight slope and rotated it and stuck it between a tree and a telephone pole. It took him several minutes to inch back and forth enough to get out of there. He did not steal my spot again.

That is too funny.

The thing is, my boss is V.P. of Manufacturing which will be me when he retires. This puts me second in charge of the plant currently. You would think he wouldn't want to take a boss's spot, but then again that is expecting he had any form of intelligence.

I had a nice spot too, right beside my boss on the end. I would be on his passenger side so I don't have to work about any door dings either.

At my current office parking is no issue. In the afternoon I park real close to the building in the grass to be in the shade for the afternoon. If a storm comes up and looks like hail we will park inside.

Once when my El Camino windshield had some water leaks I called a friend that does all the windshield work for several dealerships. He does not have an office and does not like to work in in the sun. I pulled the Elky inside and he loved working in the AC comfort. When I was ready to go home I used the voice activated automatic garage door opener - closer. (My co-worker) It was neat to walk 12 steps from my desk, get in my car and drive home.

That day my wife had to go to a meeting across campus at 4:30. She had to walk 3/4 of a mile back to her car to go home. When I told her I had to walk a dozen steps she flipped me off!

Hung my trainer on a power line near the r/c flying field. Hanging by the wing where line went through leading edge spar by not mid wing spar. Some fellow r/cers had their kids there. Awarded $5 to the one that got it down by throwing rocks at it. Plane was toast, salvaged radio, engine, servos, etc.

The airframe looks to be a total loss, but yeah, I want to salvage the receiver servos and engine
