It is sunny here today.

Unfortunately is it 22*.

We are going to Dad's side of the family for Thanksgiving. The groups is a lot smaller than it used to be. We are down to 2 banquet tables of desert instead of 4 and are having it in my cousin's restaurant instead of the fairgrounds. The fairgrounds had room for the kids to play and run wild. We used to play full 11 on 11 touch football indoors and race RC cars there.

Lu said it was snowing for a while and is back to raining.

We're spending Thanksgiving with Lu's Mom. After we retire, we'll also be able to spend at least some of the holiday with our son & his GF.

Hey Rick... You wanna come shoot the ducks that are hanging out in our pool? You gotta do it very quietly though, being in town and all!

I wouldn't mind the ducks, but they **** in the pool, and that just looks gross. Vac'd it all out this AM. Looking at picking up an auto pool vac. The noise and motion scares the ducks, and it keeps the pool clean!

See if you can find some life size cardboard cutouts of the duck dynasty guys and place them around the pool.

Skidded a few trees out of the woods today, bucked it all up, split a little over a cord of it up and loaded it into the dump truck. Snowing heavily, so parked it in the garage for now.

I am home for the weekend.

Pete, that sounds a lot like hard work. I sure like natural gas heat. Nothing to chop. I never have to worry about running out. Of course you will never run out of wood as long as you have an axe.

A local gas station is selling a bundle of three or four pieces of wood for $4.99. 5 bucks for a small fire. Freaking nuts.

That's what thought too glen. I found a guy that was selling mesquite and pecan on Craigslist. For $40 I got two heaping wheelbarrows full of firewood. Should be enough for quite a few fires. And good hard wood too. Most of those bundles are pine or crap like that. That cheap soft wood burns fast and makes lots of smoke.

Evening Y'all,
Sid I would be more than happy to take care of your duck issue but as I already stated it looks like my trip is going to be put off.

It's good that you were able to take care of their medical issues, Rick. It's a bit sad that your winter trip plans had to be sacrificed. Hopefully you'll have another opportunity soon.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
