So who makes good mags for a 1911 in .45 ACP?

A local PCA member emailed me that he is selling his 1980 SC. It's not in the cards for us right now but I hope to connect a Pelican and the PCA guy up.

Congrats or condolences on the sale of your 71T, Brent. I think I better go take mine for a drive.

Jim, it is what it is. Emily was more attached since it was the first car she ever "drove". She had to steer it when I unloaded it as a basket case when we bought it out of a feed lot many years ago.
The Cobra will have to do for now. It isn't as precise but it is brutal and has a lot of rubber on the ground compared to a 911 and similar weight. The original plan was not to keep it anyway. Thing worked out, just differently than planned.

I could sell the 928 and pay off my house. The problem is that my Property Tax and Homeowner's Insurance is more than the actual mortgage payment. I would rather have the 928 and hope that someday I can actually drive it again.

Soon, Richard, soon. Certainly by the end of the current decade!
On a side note, a friend of ours dies of cancer a few months ago and the family sold the greenish blue 1973 or 1975 911E for $3500. Yes, it was in fine shape.

Wow, someone stole it for $3500.
Our house is paid for. We get a tax bill from the tax assessor every year. Our home insurance is the same company as the car insurance. They draft my checking account each month. One payment for the three cars and the house. The insurance payment is more per month than the house payment for my old house. Of course my old house was a 1,000 square foot two bedroom one car garage house that was a $32,000 mortgage. The bad news is that old mortgage was at 12.5% interest.

I saw Wilson is about the same price as the others. It would be for all purpose use so I will grab a Wilson or two. A 1911 is a little heavy for daily carry but some parts of the neighborhoods...

Wow, my eyesight is so much better I've been able to make my 27" monitor the full 2560x1440 and still be able to read everything. I didn't realize just how much I missed the screen realestate!

Good to hear your eyesight is better. Are they doing the other eye as well or was that something different?

Had the same problem with both eyes, Retinopathy. The blood vessels in the eyes swell and bleed. The swelling changes your vision, and the bleeding causes more blood veins to form that reduces the area and vision. The blood goes into the fluid in your eye which is normally cleared. The extra blood in your eye also causes cataracts to form.
The first problem is the swelling changing your prescription and threatening bursting and losing your eyesight. I got admitted to a drug testing program of some stuff they inject into your eye that reduces the swelling and toughens up the veins so they don't leak as much. So for a while I was getting treatments for the blood vessels and vision got a little better, but also started getting hazy (the cataracts started). Then I stopped getting as many of the shots because the swelling was reduced and veins in better shape. But I started seeing floaters. This was a sign that enough blood was leaking to shade my retina. Got laser treatments where they go in and laser the spots that are bleeding. 2700 spots in each eye. The right eye's floaters cleared up, but the left eye was still getting worse. My right eye was getting as bad from cataracts as the left eye was from bleeding inside the eye so they did cataract surgery on my right eye making it as good as it was when they started all this. 20/25 The left eye was not clearing the blood fast enough so this last surgery was replacing the bloody fluid, peeling away any scared tissue from inside my eye and lasering 1000 more spots that were bleeding. The stuff they replace the fluid in the left eye with is not as optically correct as the normal fluid but will slowly clear up as my eye replaces it with it's own fluid. Say it takes a couple of weeks. It is the same brightness as my right eye now but still a little fuzzy. They said the fluid replacement also causes cataract growth so they have put the left eye cataract surgery off until after it heals up from the fluid replacement.

Morning, y'all. I'm officially on the wait list at two nearby marinas. But that doesn't mean I'm getting a boat soon...the wait lists are 6 months to a year!

Dang, today went by fast!
I replaced the brakes on the rear of the Suquinox, patched the hole in the trampoline mat, had the frame welded by the car guy across the street, made a tool to attach the stubborn springs to the trampoline mat, and cleaned/flushed all of the gutters. Oh, and replaced a dented downspout. Good thing I kept bits and pieces when I installed them the first time. I didn't have to make a hardware store run.
