Sounds good. Having tacos for lunch here...debating whether or not margaritas are in order.

Stopped by the Taco Bell drive thru and got three crispy tacos on the way home from the grocery store last night. They was good. Pepper ate all of her taco too.

Now she keeps bringing me her frisbee, she's got food in her bowl, she wants more sloppy joe. She's not spoiled at all!

Sloppy pockets are really good and simple to make. Crescent dough filled with sloppy joe mix, fold 'em up and bake. Maybe some parmesan cheese over the top , if you want.

I spiffed up the Suquinox this morning for the holiday weekend. It sure rides nice again with the new suspension bits. The Ody is already cleaned up from earlier in the week. Unless it's winter I can't show up at the family function with a dirty vehicle.

Wifey and I were discussing trading in the Ody and leasing a new vehicle when the new year happens. We don't drive that much so mileage under 10,000 per year would suit us fine. Of course, she wants an SUV and I don't so not sure what will happen.

I've got a couple of Ribeyes thawing for supper tonight. I forgot to get some Stella at the store, though. Prolly gonna have to go back when wifey gets back from work.

Got my electric bill for August. After signing up for their smarthours thing my August bill was $177. Previous bills for June and July were $211 and $213 respectively and we had some pretty hot days in August to boot. So it really did save me some monies.

Doing really well with my water heater set on VAC. Don't even notice taking showers, seem plenty hot. May be different come winter when the closet the water heater is in isn't 90°F. Kinda disappointed in the gas bill though. It's been exactly the same amount the last 3 months. They have got to be just guessing and haven't actually checked my meter.

The "wired" electric meter they put in is actually pretty neat. Can log in on the internets and see what my total usage is on an hourly basis. And it also tracks the costs and outside temps. If building a new home or re-wiring would try to find a monitor/controller that worked with the box to manage and track each circuit. That would be neat.

So Jeff, I presume your sun in not a coal miner.

I had fun at the MIL's house. The furniture moving was not too arduous. I had many other little chores.

Son is an astromenator? Think Glen is an amator astromenator.

Put together a movie of an eclipse for my brother's FIL that took lots of pics with his very nice Celestron.

A burrito that tastes like a whopper just doesn't even sound good to me. And I like Whoppers onst in a while too. Best thing they got going is the croissant breakfast.

Local drive in had a better crossant breakfast sammuch, then they stopped serving the crossants for some chibatta bread, morons.

Always wondered why Arby's quit doing breakfast. There was alway a line at my local Arby's for their really flakey good crossant sammuches. They had the best.

Good Morning Group.

Today we celebrate the American worker and what they have done to make America great.

Mostly by taking a day off work and getting together with our families and friends to have cookouts and picnics.

Sadly I didn't get my new Charbroil Big Easy Tru Infrared Smoker Roaster Grill. So will just be grilling my steak on my regular old gas grill, sigh.
Tracking says it won't get here till Friday.
Because it uses infrared heat instead of hot air to cook it doesn't dry the meat out making it juicier.
The only weird thing is you can't use sugary wet sauces on the outside of the meat or it will split and make it rubbery. Only dry rubs. You can marinate, but have to dry it off before cooking.
They claim roasting turkey it comes out just like a deep fried turkey without all the hassle of the hot oil.
Seems to be getting a lot of good reviews by hard core charcoal smokers.

My son and I are going to mow our lawn and the neighbor's today. He wants to earn enough money to buy a Lego plane. We went and visited with the inlaws already as we won't see the FIL until his bypass surgery is done tomorrow.

Gonna detail the MIL's truck this week for her birfday.

Tonight will be relaxing and just making sure the kids have everything ready for school tomorrow.

My son solved the issue of him riding the bus or me taking him to school daily. The wife usually leaves for work around 730 so she will drop him off on her way and I'll pick him up after. This way I don't have to wake the girl up and drag her out into the light earlier than necessary.

Enjoy the rest of the day folks!
