Thought I could use the factory spacers that were already on the turbo with the 20 in factory wheels but the 22in wheels don't have the pockets machined to fit over bolt on factpry spacers.

Put the spacers on the rear of the S with the wheels that were on the Turbo and it looks normal. It doesn't look like the spacers made the rear stick out at all.

Talked with Wheel Enhancement about the 22 in wheels and the way the fronts stick out a little and if there were spacers for the rears that worked since the factory spacers did not. He said the 22 in wheels have two offsets. ET60 for the front and ET47 for the rear. And I could put some flat spacers on the rear to move the rears out like the fronts are, but he suggest I put the front offsets on the front and the rear offsets on the rear and see how I like it.
The wheels on the '04 turbo are 1 inch wider in the rear. 9s and 10s.

Dave, we're supposed to tour Wellington and Christchurch, but how we get around and what we see/skip is TBD. Fingers crossed!
Cool, would be interesting. We're driving around the north island till 02Dec. Do you come back to the north island to fly out?

Jim I am Jealous. New Zealand and Australia are on my bucket list. I am pretty sure I can't drive my 911 to get there.

It is strange to me to hear stories frome other folks that talk about the names of the kids they wet to grade school with. I had to think about it for a while to remember what school and where we were for each grade. Every single year from 1st grade up until the 12th grade I heard "Class this is Glen the new kid" Only in high school for 11th and 12 grade did I go to the same school two years in a row.

I don't remember the names of some of the schools much less the names of the teachers and other kids. Nine moths in one school and off to another part of the country.

I did go to school with the great grandson of Stephen F. Austin in San Marcos, Texas and the grandson of Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto the man that lead the attack on Pearl Harbor. The building that my dad worked in on base had genuine Japanese made bullet holes in the facade to remind everyone that we were attacked, and men had died there.

Hey, it ain't Monday!

There is a local story going around that a State Trooper clocked a Mustang going 208 MPH. I call that pure BS. It would take well over 1000 HP, a tall final drive gear and some real aerodynamic mods to get a Mustang to get to 208.

A Porsche 918 will do 210. A Carrera GT will just break 200. Those a small very aerodynamic cars designed from scratch to go that fast.

That Mustang might hit 160, but it did not break 200.

Morning all. I checked out. But yes the co-worker will get keys and hand them over. If he doesn't come in then either I sleep in the trailer or my rental car or go to the airport for the next flight home.

might be enough for the lawyers to get him off. experts will prove the car can't go that fast. unless you push it off a cliff.

Terminal velocity is likely less than 200.

Need to know more about the Moostang. It is obviously modified but to what extent?

Should probably give a call to Chief and Shawn. They might want to have him go for the 405 list.

The 20in Sport Designs that came on my 05 Turbo are the same width and offset, hence the factory spacers on the rear. The 22in Champion RG24 wheels are the same width, but has front and rear offsets.

Okay, if the Mustang was going 86 MPH saw the cop turning around and punched it. The time it takes the Mustang to realize what is going on and get to say 120mph (attainable) is about 20 seconds. Buy the time the cop crosses the median, pulls into traffic and himself speeds up to 100 in pursuit also around 25 to 30 seconds. In that time the Mustang would have put at least 3 miles between himself and the Police car. Isn't that out of radar range? My Radar detector says it is.

Also they ticketed him for reckless driving and resisting, NOT speeding. Further proof the quoted speeds were made up.

Felony eluding police is the big reason they haled him to jail. That will cost him the impound fees and lots of money. For sure he needs to lose his license for a while and pay some big fines.

I bet he frames that ticket and put it on the wall. 200+ is BS but lots of those street racers think a high MPH speeding ticket is a badge of honor.

The best part is he did not hurt anyone.

Last week I ordered a can of the fancy Porsche Classic motor oil in the cool can. I picked it up today. Just under 19 bucks per liter. I only ordered one liter. That is plenty. It would cost 200 bucks for just the oil if I did an oil change with it. The Brad Penn I use I get from a local oil warehouse and it is not cheap but not quite that bad.

I just wanted to can for my garage shelf. It will go next to the old round cardboard oil can of TG&Y oil. I even have an old oil spout to open a old style oil can. It hangs on the wall next to my timing light and dwell meter.
