Found out what was going on with our users accounts getting hacked!
All of the users that are getting hacked have Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
You log in a do things via the web.
If you use the same browser window to access other web sites hackers can get your credentials from the broswer cache thru a malicious web site or even an ad on a web site. (make sure you logout and close your browser window after any on-line banking!)

Log out and close the browser window!!!

Also they (VPs) would not let me turn on Multi-Factor Authentication until this week. And are still only requiring it for "high risk" employees.

Ah yes, whacking a little ball with a stick and trying to get it into a hole far away, while drinking beer. One of them expensive hobbies. I guess it is way cheaper than boats or race cars and orders of magnitude cheaper than a mistress. Have fun!

I played golf once. I just did not get the fun part.

Hey folks, it is Friday!

Yea, it sucks David. With my dad he was 100% there mentally but the operation to fix his heart was a disaster and it just made him die struggle to breath and killed him in a couple of months. I had to take care of his house and bills, hoping the doctors could figure something out and he could come home. It is a tough part of being an adult kid and sucks even more for dad.

Have a nephew that makes a living with golf. Went to college on a golf scholarship. Managed Pebble Beach for a while. Now is involved in building and managing courses that have zero environmental impact on the surrounding ecology. The first one he did is called The Preserve in CA.

Never got into golf myself.

I have been to the driving range and played the mini version. Been around several golf courses walking with those that did play.

Glen, golf may be less expensive than racing, flying et al, but is isn't nearly as fun IMHO. I understand some people think knocking steel targets off and going to pick them up again is not fun either.

It depends on HOW you play golf. One of my buddies retired when the company he worked for told him IF he took a retirement package they would pay him more money every month than his current paycheck, and he did not have to come to work anymore. He contemplated that for about 2 microseconds.

He loved golf. He wanted to play all the top courses. He bought a set of clubs that were mega expensive. Then he tried to wrangle guest memberships at major courses. He paid a ton of money to go play Pebble Beach. He had fun trying to spend the money he was making in retirement. He admitted he could have bought a new Ferrari for what he spent playing golf. He preferred golf.

I could see myself in a Lancair IVP cruising at 27k feet at 425kts. Or campaigning a Viper ACR for a couple years.

My business partner is of course a pilot. For a little extra easy money he plays co-pilot on a King Air. They fly down to Houston and Aspen and NYC and it is just the cool way to travel when you have really really deep pockets. The King Air they fly is coming up on some major inspection that has to be done at a certain number of hours. They have to remove the wings, and gut the interior to do the inspection of the aluminum fuselage. It is over 1/2 million and just part of routine maintenance. An engine rebuild is just insane. Just money to some people.

Knew a guy that was a charter pilot. He worked for a charter service. The main thing he did was fly the mechanics out and back to do repairs. He would usually leave late in the evening, sleep there, then fly them back the next morning. Joked he was paid to commute by plane to sleep different places.

My brother is talented with woodwork. One of his co-workers had a old 12 gauge shotgun with a broken stock. My brother bought the shotgun for $50 and is making a new stock. One of his neighbors had a walnut tree that the power company took down because it was too close to a power pole. My brother kept a lot of the wood. He dried the wood and got it down to the proper moisture level. He has spent a lot of time shaping the stock and front piece to fit.

It is an old single barrel, single shot shotgun. He took the stock and the barrel to work to show the guy they used to own it. It was not yet quite fitting so it was a two piece gun. One of the other co-workers immediately asked "Is that a bump stock to make it automatic?"

He laughed and said yep, pull the trigger and it will shoot all the bullets instantly.

Those 6 cylinders are $32k - $40k for a rebuild. Each.

I have no idea what a PT6 or similar would be.

The King Air is a turbo prop. It burns Jet fuel.

On our old Cessna 206 we had over 14 engines over the years. They would all go past TBO, but they all had to be swapped out. We just bought a manufactured engine and had it ready to swap. It was usually 35 to 38 grand for the engine swap.

PT6 is a turbo prop but I don't know which the King Air uses. The PT6 is very popular.

My fat fingers hit control-enter which posts the reply before I finished.

Those for the 206 were rebuilds? Core charge?

That 206 has over 14K air frame hours. It is a 1965 model that the company bought in 1969.

Yea, we would get a Continental re-manufactured engine right from Continental. The old core of course had to be rebuildable, so no thrown rods but that for sure was not an issue for us. We would have it sitting on the shelf ready to go in for the annual and engine swap. Time was of the essence. That airplane had a factory installed when new, 18 inch hole in the floor to hold a 500 pound camera. We can't just rent some local airplane to use. The core charge was about 5 grand. We got that refund when they received the old engine, and took it apart. Instead of being grounded for two months like a local rebuild, it was two weeks or so to do it all.

Now our camera is just a few pounds, and can mount on most any high wing airplane. Cessna 152 to 172 is ideal. 152s are just so slow to get to the site. A 172 is just ideal for us.

Older brother had an old 22 rifle. 13 years later when I came along it was in Dads pile of junk with the stock duct taped up. When I was 6 I got a wood carving knife set when we were on vacation. I basically whittled a new stock from a big ol chunk of cherry I got at the local lumber yard (back when neighborhoods had lumberyards and hardware stores, etc. instead of box stores.) Even re-blued the barrel and cleaned all up so it looked brand new.

Learned to shot real good. Neighbor's Dad was a food broker for Heinz. He would drop us off way out in the country where there wasn't anyone for miles and leave us all day on a deserted bridge with a few cases of empty catsup bottles. We had a blast. We would toss bottles in the creak and try to shoot the caps off, then shoot just below the water line to sink em. Sometimes they got way far down stream before we hit em.

Even got to where we could throw coins up in the air and hit em. The tough part was finding them after. One of us would hit the coin and the other would try to keep eyes on it where it went.

Sad thing was when my brother's kids got old enough to be seriousliy interested in guns, my brother claimed it was his gun and took it. Guarantee if I hadn't restocked and refinished it he wouldn't have been interested. His kids put it back into horrible condition.

Glen, how are the prices on something like a Glasair Sportsman?

172 is a pretty well known commodity and prices are goon on them. Easy to fly and not horrendously slow.

Have not been comfortable in small aircraft, ie single engine 4 place, since I was 4. Will fly and no fear. Have flown in a Decathalon and got to take the sticks and do some stunts. Just not comfortable.
