Ain't it fun buying big fat tires! I think the proper term for the ones you showed is "Meats!"
GTS has Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ Turbo has Perrelli Scorpions Autcrossing it was Dunlop Direzza Red Star summer on the GTS. Had to watch them though, they would gain too much temperature, over inflate then get too hot and bubble the tread around the center of the tire. Actually had to start lowering the pressure as they got warmed up. Went all season since the foot ordeal.

Get off my lawn!

Phew. 12 hours of beating on the computer to get the project finished. So I can go fly one tomorrow.

Think those speaking clocks like that only work in apartments.
Speaking of neighbors. My next door neighbor was using his shop vac to vacuum his yard the other day. And not to pick up leaves or clippings either. He also has a couple of big squared off areas that he hasn't mowed for a couple of weeks. The only thing I can think of is he only mows until his trash cans get full and stops because he doesn't want to use bags.

Richard, that does not make sense either. The trash bins are not supposed to have grass clipping with no bag. I don't know if the trash police will show up, likely not.

Good whatever part of the day and particular day to you all.
No, I don't enjoy shopping for big meaty tires. If I had unlimited funds I would just get the Avon tire and be done with it.

Glen, neighbor has noticed my trash bins empty and filled them with grass from his yard. At least he drags them to the curb and back as well. Allso the kids doing my lawn always puts just grass in the bins. Thought they said you can only set out bags of lawn waste if both your bins are full.
Avon, had a set of those an they were heavy and wore out in 6K miles. That was a long time ago, maybe it was a different brand like Avion or Fuson or something. Remember having Pzero Neros on my BoxeterS. Was competitive with a Z06 on race slicks. Only problem was if there was any standing water at all, like just the run off while raining, they hydroplaned like crazy. A couple of times traveling I had to pull over and sit at a restaurant or coffee shop until it quit.

The Hoosiers are like that for my car so I never bought them since it does rain here, sometimes just out of the blue. They are like cheater slicks but with less depth on the grooves.
Avon makes a wide range of tires so it could very well have been that brand. I know the rear 12" wide 50 series 15" are 17# for the Cobra. The BFG are a couple pounds lighter. The Goodyears were heavier, but both the Goodyear and Avons are much wider for the same section width than the MT or BFG. Plus, the Avon and Goodyear tires have a much higher speed rating as they are true race tires.

What really got me is those PZero Nero were supposed to be street tires, not race tires. It's not that they were slick on wet surfaces, just hydroplaned if there was ANY standing water.
Way back when I had my 914, the 80's...Put Pirellis on it and joked about if someone spit on the street it will cause it to spin out. So, guess i should have expected that from Pirelli. Was kinda worried about putting them on the Cayenne, but they seem to do fine on it so far.

It is good weather wise if you like Seattle weather.
We flew a project yesterday under solid overcast. We had to fly at 3,500 feet to stay under the cloud deck instead of the typical 4,500 we prefer. It makes for a great collection. With no shadows whatsoever the parts of objects and creeks and streams or pits are as visible as the normal highlights. Imagine the side of a building that is in the shade, with black asphalt up to the edge like many businesses. That part is hard to see detail in compared to the white metal roof that tends to get overexposed. Some of the targets are a lot easier to see. Since we were lower the camera has to shoot more photos to cover the area, so my computer has to work harder, but it does not complain. And of course, lower altitude means higher resolution images.

Today it is a hot pocket so no worries about that. Tomorrow might be Spicy Kung Pao or Chicken Alfredo.
Our old toaster oven did set off the fire alarm one day. That was funny. Well, afterwards it was funny.
