Get off my lawn!

Wow, that went as planned, how did I manage that?
![]() This is the old dead airbag. This is upside down from the way it goes in the spring, the nipple points down. You can see it has shaped itself to the spring. There is a series of cracks on the front side, and the biggest crack is the air leak. I managed to get the Elky up in the air on the scissor lift, remove the shock bolt, drop the trailing arm, remove the spring, then go cuss a bit while trying to get the old bag out of the spring. I have to compress it it down, and then put a vacuum cap on the nipple, and that keeps it deflated. Wrestle it out of spring, and getting the new cylinder shaped one in is pretty easy in comparison. Put the shock bolt back on, lower it down, air it up. clean up the work area, Ta Da. Even for the me, the worlds slowest mechanic, only 40 minutes from going out there do coming back in. I have working air bags again.

As of yesterday the TV weather man said we are 9.2 degrees below normal temp for August. No one is complaining except the power company
![]() Today it is still in just the high 80s and normal is mid 90s so below normal today again. I like it!

I don’t want to hear it. We are in the middle of a record breaking summer. Most days with a LOW above 90 and most days with a HIGH above 110. My pool feels like a bathtub right now. 😂

That is the price you have to pay to have January wearing shorts and a t-shirt! I saw Yuma hit 120 the other day.

Another beautiful day in SoCal today. Started off overcast (so not too hot--it's also about 10 deg below normal for this time of year, and I'm not complaining). Then it burned off in the afternoon for a perfect day. My daughter wanted to head up to Santa Barbara, so we took the 930. No line at my favorite taqueria, which is unheard of--it's usually a 45-60 min line out the door and down the sidewalk. Spent a nice, leisurely day walking around. Had a nice dinner at a sidewalk restaurant. Then no traffic on the drive back. Mrs. Noah commented on how happy our daughter looked when we arrived home.

I have spent very little time in LA proper, except a couple trips through the city on the interstate on the way to SF and back. The traffic throughout So Cal is just insane. Much like the traffic and roads in the Chicago area. I remember me drive up to St. Charles, IL and the traffic was heavy, but we moved. Then I saw a large shopping center with a big box store and lots of other stores. About 10 miles down the road, another large shopping center with a box box store and they just appeared every 8 to 10 miles. That was different for me. You know there is a large population around to support all those stores.
I prefer my area, I can often drive 3 miles south and not see one single moving car, heavy traffic is 4 or 5 cars. Of course if I go north three miles, it is right into a really large commercial area with two very large shopping centers just across the street from each other, the hospital, the box box store, and heavy traffic. Across the street north from the two big centers is yet another large center, and about 5 restaurants that specialize in chicken meals, and a couple dozen other restaurants.

Good Friday! Yep it is a Friday for you guys. Realized that until I got another job (if I get one) i've Joined Jims perpetual Saturdays.
Some0ne on BAT asked if they could drive my 928? Don't know where he expects that it is. The listing says OKC. It's up to 36K and 5 days.

Tell him sure, buy it, and you can drive it all you want. No way would I let a random internet buyer drive my car if it were for sale.
From what little I know BAT does not broker the sale. So if someone wants to buy it you and he have to negotiate the money transfer and title transfer. I would sure insist on a bank transfer. You might talk to the credit union on how they handle that so you know the procedure when the sale happens.

Gots 3 sewing machines and lots of accessories. Two are old Singers in cabinret with the thread stands. The other is a portable zigzag machine. The one mom always used drops the back of the stitch. Something Mom did after she basically forgot to sew.
I made denier seatbelt pads with the Porche Logo on them for the Local Porsche club to give away at our first car show. They are pretty nice. It was interesting. Was working on a deadline for a monthly publication me being the layout artist/art director. Got busy making the pads. The editor, a home schooled young lady, said she would help me sew up the pads if we made the deadline on the publication. Since I have two sewing machines I agreed. We made the deadline and I found that even though she thought she did, she did not really know how to sew. I had to train her. So much for home schooling. Anyway the one Mom always used needs some kind of setup or repair. I would like to get ride of the other old singer, the zigzag and an old oak cabinet.

Thanks Glen, I've sold car before and got a guy that is handling the sale. Honestly most have done a wire transfer to my bank. Even the ones that personally picked up the car. Always made sure I gots money in the bank before I let the title or the car leave.
Saw a thing on wikilinkz. If they get the car they can get a title, if they get a title they report the car as stolen if the seller doesn't let them have it.

Also remember to to take the tag off of it before they buy it. In Oklahoma now the tag stays with the seller. If they want to drive it home, they better check with their state on the rules of their state. Bottom line, they don't get to have your old tag.

I was checking my spam filter inbox, and just one email. It was the one from Russia, that claims the put malware on some porn site, and have video of me whacking off and they want money to prevent stop them from releasing the video.
Since I don't visit those sites, and I have no camera on my computer and no microphone at all, they must be really good hackers. Well, I do have a camera and microphone that came with the computer mother board. They are still in a box, inside the motherboard box in the dark closet the motherboard came in. They have never been hooked up I am thinking that email is pure BS.

I think your 928 is going to ring a bell on BAT Richard. I wouldn’t let anyone drive it it either. That’s one of the benefits of the auction, don’t have to deal with all those random people pestering you.

Sidney, I don't deal with them. Have a guy handling the sale for me.
Just hope it rings a big enough bell it makes or breaks Hagerty's listed value of 89.9K.

Just spent almost $200 for a dog harness for the back seat of the Cayenne. It attaches to the seat belt and is tested to keep a 90# Golden Retriever in the back seat in a head on collision.
Found most of the other harnesses say they are tested, but don't actually pass. This one is made in Germany and is tested and certified to hold a specific max weight dog for each harness size. ![]() Figure if I survive a car wreck, Pepper should as well. Some States are now requiring a cage or harness for animal travel.

Pepper looks nothing like that! You ordered the wrong harness.

Got a guy coming from Tulsa tomorrow to look at the car. He really likes the color and sound. The color is why I bought it, there are only 3 and one is in Helsinki.
That was just the picture they had of the harness, also had a German Shepard no Goldens. I was trying to show how it hooked up.
