Morning all. Noah, good plan to buckle in the beer for safety. My old 914 front trunk was the perfect size for hauling beer. Two cases of beer in cans fit side by side securely. I used to go to a liquor store and stock up with 8 different brands of beer in six packs. I had a garage fridge stocked with a variety of different beer. When buddies came over they did not get to just grab a favorite, they had to stand on a X on the floor, and close their eyes, and turn 360 degrees, and reach in a grab something. That had to be consumed before they could try again. I would sprinkle in some stouts like Guinness Stout that guys that like Coors light would hate. I liked them all.

In all the years of buying beer, I never found an undrinkable beer until last Friday night. A lifetime perfect record ruined. We went to a brewery here called Pub W. I ordered a beer called Berliner Weisse. I figured it was a typical German beer. It was a sour red wine nasty tasting concoction. It was my mistake not asking more questions and maybe getting a sample first. It was the only beer I simply could not finish.

Has been a lazy day.

Watched a Joe Rogan podcast with the ex-wrestler Diamond Dallas Page. DDP has been doing some amazing things with his program of exercise, diet, and mind set. He calls it DDPY. Said the diet is basically all organic foods with no dairy or gluten and very little sugar. The exercise is a special Yoga he has come up with that envolves stretching and strength training. The mind set is positive thinking to not give up. Has a video of an ex-paratrooper that had leg and back braces and walking using two canes. Doctors told him he would never walk unaided due to the damage done to knees and back as a paratrooper. After 10 months he lost 140 lbs and is shown running without any canes or braces!

Docs and PTs told me my problems were that my accident damaged my core. DDP says his DDPY is mainly just strengthening the core, the diet is to reduce inflammation (pain) to become healthy and everything else follows. DDP came up with this stuff to resolve damage to his own spine done wrestling in WWF.

So no cookies, chocolate, candy bars, donuts, real soda, and I bet he does not smoke. Cut out those, and exercise and anyone will loose weight.

He can make your wallet $80 ro $130 bucks lighter right off the bat. He gets about $1M a year from it.

There are several CDs that provide videos for each set of exercises and several levels of them targeted to you ability.
There is an app that you subscribe to that tracks your progress to a server and displays that progress on your TV. It also has a heart monitor you can get so it tracks how long you are in your target heart rate. And the App provides access to recipes, cooking, and motivational videos. There are accessories like yoga mats you can get as well.

It is actually one of the most complete programs I've seen.

I suppose you are sending it this way David?

There was something under your post too, but I couldn't make it out.

Noooooo. Whomever installed the Pioneeer car-play stereo in my Cayenne did a whorable job. Thought it was going to be cool having carplay.

They put way too much sub woofer and disconnected half the speakers including the sub woofer, added cheap speakers, and the 8 inch mid-bass speakers were blown. They tossed the bose amp that did the speaker tuning/surround sound, and didn't connect any of the most data bus stuff including the steering wheel buttons. They also added their own antenna and gps antenna. It would have been a LOT cheaper and sound much better to just get a most data bus adapter for the pioneer head unit.

I want the sub box and amps they added removed from the rear floor so I might actually be able to carry something in the back.

Got a complete set of the 12 speakers off ebay for $100, including replacements for the 8 inch woofers. Taking to the dealership tomorrow for them to see how much of the factory system has been removed.

Hopefully I will be able to get an amp for $250 and a most data bus interface for the pioneer for another $200. And it will be the best of both.

Oh and there will have to be some programming done at the dealership for the stereo to work with the steeringwheel and know when reverse is engaged to use the backup camera, etc.

I guess whoever got hold of your Cayenne was for sure a real moron. That is a shame.

When I ordered my 914 a radio was a really expensive option, like $600 as I remember. So I ordered it with the radio delete option. I knew I could buy a radio and some speakers for a lot less. I picked up my 914 on Friday, Sept 13, 1974 at 12:05 PM and drove it around in town some. Back then one of the ways I made money was shooting coaching films. I had a 16mm Bolex camera and the schools would hire me to drive to the game, and shoot only the action, snap, to whistle. Then the coaches could see what each player did. The only video cameras back then were in TV studios and were massive. I would shoot a Jr. High school game on Thursday, high school on Friday, and college on Saturday. My social life sucked in football season. But I had a 914!

Anyway, one of the high schools I shot on Friday nights had a game against at some private school near Huntsville, AL. So off I went in my new car and no radio. I got real sick of singing to myself as I am a horrible singer. I had a game to shoot Saturday night for Alabama State, and Sunday was my play time. I brought the 914 back in for the 600 mile service on Monday the 16th at 8:00 AM. They changed the engine and transmission oils, and checked out the car for free.

I got a radio on Monday afternoon. I guess I should have just listened to Pandora on my iPhone back then.

Morning all. I'm not even sure what station the radio in my 911 is tuned to. I worked when I bought it but I have never really listened to it.

The radios in both of my cars are not tuned to any station. I gave up on radio many years ago. The commercials were bad, but the play list was a small selection and the same few songs played over and over. I have a USB drive in both of my cars. 16 gig with every CD I own, (over 125 CDs) ripped to folders, and played in random order.

The wife’s Macan has Satellite radio. She loves it. Our 182 also has satellite xm radio. Mostly because that gets us color radar views of the weather. The music is nice on long trips. Set the autopilot and cruise and listen to music. If there is radio chatter, it knows to stop the music, and then start again when it gets quiet. Great for the middle of nowhere but pointless near the airport. It is all run through the touch screen displays.

The complete set of 12 cayenne speakers was way cheaper than just buying the 2 8 inch woofers.

Did some research last night and found what I think is the best option. Pioneer makes a 5.1 amp with surround sound decoder and eq with time delay. Think that running the stock speakers and adding the module that connects the radio to the canbus to use the steering wheel buttons and provide data to the dash display will be the best option. It will get rid of the big kicker subwoofer and 2 kicker amps screwed to the floor in the back. Always had the surround sound on with the stock stuff on all my other Cayennes anyway.

When my Dad ordered a new Plymouth station wagon back in 76 He ordered it with the cheapest tires and no stereo. I put in an aftermarket am fm cassette CB and he swapped to Michelin tires.
