Yesterday the clouds were wonderful, because I was out mowing the yard and the cloud shade was great. Today, they are back and getting thicker as we get closer to launch. Ah well, like Will Rogers said long ago "everyone talks about the weather, but no one ever does anything about it"

Am almost miserably stuffed and only ate half as much busketti as Glen did.

Did the plop plop fizz fizz thing and now want to curl up and go to sleep.

Started using the sleep/wake alarm on my iPhone. The wake up alarm puts the current weather and days forecast on the screen. I like it.

That plate of spaghetti was good! I figured that place might be expensive, and I was right. But it was really good.

Now if we can ever get my company to pop up at the top of Google searches when looking for aerial photography in Oklahoma City, I will buy you lunch there. Even if you have to buy some software and bill us for it to do it.

HINT!

Make it pop up on top for any place in the OK area. He likes a challenge. At least I assume he does given the people he deals with at his day job!

Does anyone want a tape backup drive? HP SCSI Ultrium 450. It would be a great wheel chock for the plane or table center piece. Conversation piece for the young'uns? "How quaint! What is it?"

I remember we paid over a grand for the 2 GB DAT tape drive. It would take overnight to copy 2 GB of data but it was wonderful to "all that storage" on the ready. Now a DVD does twice that tons faster. But I have not burned a DVD in ages. We just FTP files up to 2 GB all the time with ease.

I so remember being thrilled to be able to download one MB in "just" 12 minutes. Wow, that was fast for dial-up.

Hope EVERYONE is having a much better day than I am today. As much as I like busketti it is now in the no eat category for me. Really messing with my blood sugar. Should have gotten the pizza!

Think the key term there is the word "run" and 10K refers to the number of visits to the loo. Definately not an experience to be done while participating in a footrace by the same name.

The fun just continues.

I went to an appointment early this morning and all was normal with the El Camino. I got back home and parked and did some work and needed to run to my business partners house. I went start the Elky, and no joy in the garage. It is cool that of all the places a battery could pick, it decided at home in the garage is the place.

The old battery had $25 off the cost of the new battery for the pro-rating.

Well one last HOT day of summer, then fall arrives. It will be yet another hot day in the airplane. Then the front from the hurricane from Mexico arrives. Heavy rains for the weekend, and rain is likely all next week. We are in an elevated area, so we will be above any flash floods. Of course with recent flooding on the east coast the forecasters all want to go stand in knee deep water to report on flooding. It must be part of the reporters hand book. At some point I bet every TV reporter has gone to stand in the water to file a report for the station.

My house is not in a low area, but...The runoff from the two properties west of mine sloped to the front of my house. After a couple of days of drizzle the floor vents would start filling with water.

I spent and entires summer roto-tilling my front yard and wheelbarrowing dirt to re-landscape my front yard so the runoff is directed away from the front of the house out into the street. It was rough because the manaul dirt moving aggravated my diverticulitis and ended with surgery in late October of that year.

But, hey, now instead of everything sloping to the front of my house, there is a lowered area that slopes across the front of my house guiding the water away. No more vent filling even after a week of rain.
