They had a stack of them. All identical, and various sizes and colors. They are manufactured for sure. Mine are past using when I have to throw them out.

then think of it this way you have started a style trend. How to look like you work for a living while spending big bucks and not actually doing work.

Yesterday when I had the battery replaced at the Apple store, one step is they have to turn off the Find my Phone feature for some reason. That means, enter the password, and log out of the Apple ID. No big deal. I go to pick it up and we leave. To get the phone back to "normal" and to log back into Apple ID, enter the password. It keeps wanting me to log into an old ID that I used to have at my old email address. I don't have that one anymore and the there is no password, it is a dead account. So I go round and round with the phone and end up changing the password three times, but it want to use the old ID.

I finally called Apple Support. It is tricky, and totally not intuitive. They have a way of running a program on my phone to see the display on their end. She could point the places and click and enter the information. It was creepy to see my phone have a red arrow moving around showing what to do. In the end, it is all better now.

It only works when they send me an email and a link to click "accept" and let them in. Then it goes away. I don't 100% trust any digital device with my privacy. Of all the companies, Facebook and Google are THE worst and Apple seems to be mostly trying to protect the private data of owners.

The USA very much need to catch up to the European standards of RIGHT to privacy for digital devices. In the USA, we have none, nada zip, zilch privacy right for phones of computers. Just read the "user license" we all have to click accept to use the program, and grand them access to the data and THEY get ownership.

The one thing I did learn while in Paris is that the phone plans are inexpensive but they pay full price for their phones no two year deals or pay off over the contract.

Yea, three years ago when my wife and I both got the current iPhone 6S models we did the payment plan pricing. Why they heck not, it was 0% interest and only a rounding difference made the amount a penny more buy paying it over the contract.

We could have just paid for the phones, but there was no logical reason to.

My long time boss at the photolab bough one of the original Motorola brick phones. It was $1700 for his, 20 cents per minute to make or receive calls. Nothing but talk, no data.

This is a later knock off.

My current business partner had one. He said he had it on the dashboard of his work truck, turned a corner and it when flying out the side window hit the pavement, and skittered across a busy intersection, hit the curb and fell into the grass median. He went after it as fast as possible, and checked it out. 100% fine. He said there was one very tiny scratch on the back of it.

HS buddy is an engineer for Levi Straus. He designed and maintains machines that make Jeans. Don't know if it's the machines that makes fashionably used or not. I know he does travel to London a lot.

Had one of those phones that is mounted in your car in the late 80's. Not quite a brick.

Also had a Timex pager watch that paged me with caller ID when my phone was getting a call. The phone was in my car for my convenience. Got it so Mom or Bro with MS, George living with us could call with emegencies while I was out. Usually flying R/C planes with no phone to go to.

Pissed my brother Tom off one Saturday. Didn't call him back (wanted me to do some work on a Saturday), didn't call back, was out flying. The next Monday they had taken over my cell phone account and replaced my car phone with a pocket cell phone. Pocket cell phones weren't available with I setup my car phone.

Company managed my phone until 2 years ago. Now it's my phone/contract, but I get a stipend that pays $55 for it on my check. kind of a rip off because the actual service part is $60 with unlimited everything. The no longer pay for whom the account is with, the phone itself, upgrading, or getting it fixed.

The feature that they can remote your iPhone is pretty new. All the iPhone allows is view the screen and move a pointer not click on, upload, or run anything. That being said...before any upgrade/repair to my iphone, even at the apple store, I make a backup so went I get my iPhone back I can revert it to factory settings (completely erase it), then restore from my backup. Just in case they mess something up.

Hola Y’all. Nice to see you posts here, Joe. Hope all is well.

We saw a dolphin and a sea lion frolicking together for quite a while in the harbor this morning. Boy, what’s this world coming to? Heck, what’s next...dogs and cats living together?

No update form Max that I have seen. I hope he and his family are ok.

I deliberately did not put my phone on the charge last night. Right now it is at 83%. The new battery was fer sure fer sure worth the 29 bucks.

I had a car mounted phone that cost $1000 in the 80's and a briefcase phone not long after that. The BC phone was won in a contest but it cost so much to use that I gave it away. Pretty much the same thing with the car mount. 4 years and technology had passed by.
