We had planned to go out for supper, but the boy was sent home early so he made General Tsao's chicken and pork fried rice for us from the freezer. It was pretty good for a freezer to microwave meal.

I just got the presents delivered to the Children's Center. I was not smart enough to take a picture. They have a nice lobby, and a huge tree, we piled the presents under it, and it looks a lot better. I handed her the check and she of course wanted to log us in with a name and address. I told her the club was a non profit club, and did not pay any taxes so we can't take a tax deduction. I left the address off of the check. I can't see them wasting paper and postage mailing me solicitations to donate more. We give what we give, only because we want to, when we want to.
No doubt I could have taken a personal deduction of the $230 bucks worth of stuff, but I have little doubt some of the price was higher because "it was for charity" and the members bid more. I do not feel like anyone else needs to help pay for my donation. I pay a stupid high amount of taxes, and would love to get some of it back, but that ain't why I donated the stuff.

Yeah, it’s a nuisance. I’ll need to reset the auto payments when the new card arrives.
My better half has been baking cookies all afternoon. My job is quality control inspector. It’s a tough job, but somebodys got to do it!

I have a card I pay my bills/trusted recurring payments with. Then I have a second account and debit car I buy stuff round town and on the internets. Have a weekly budget I transfer to the debit card. It is a visa debit card so make transactions just like a credit card, only it does not authorize if there is not enogh money.
There are two reasons for my double account/card system. First is I don't have to go to all my accounts and put a new card in if it gets compromised. Second, if my second card gets compromised they can only charge what is i the account. It's not that Visa would not refund hacked charges, they do that. It just that the fheifs can't get very much cash before the card is turned down, the @#$#ers. Well, just got back from getting Bob's van from the wrecker co. Should have left it and let them auction it. Gonna cost more than it's worth to fix it. He should turn it into insurance, am sure they would total it. Don't know what kind of coverage he has tough. May just be liability.

I have 3 cards that I use for separate things. The one that was recently compromised was the one dedicated to general online shopping. All my cards provide email notices for any purchases.

Got Rangie parts at Rover Cannibal, they always had a couple of nice Series Rovers they were outfitting.
It was interesting that it was an indoor salvage yard for all things Rover. Had never seen a salvage yard that was all indoors before. Kind of odd that it was in downtown OKC. You had to visit because they never would get around to shipping anything local. And you could go pick out the best parts from the bins. Last time drove past looked like the sign was taken down and something else was in that building.

We used to have a decent Porsche junk yard here in the metro area. When I first got my 911 the passenger side window looked like someone with a huge diamond ring used it as a ice scraper, several times. It was covered in deep scratches. Only cure was replacement. I went down to Oklahoma Foreign and picked u p a nice used one. A few years ago the Oklahoma Department of Transportation decided they really needed an off ramp for a new bridge to cross I-35 and they got that property with eminent domain. Last time I went through there, there was not any sign of the salvage yard, or a off ramp or bridge. Just an empty field. I can't imagine anyone would want to live there, or put in a business with decades of a salvage yard oil and antifreeze and everything else dripping on the ground. It would be OK as a road, but not much more without some expensive cleanup.

It is a morning. Greet the day.
Had to attend a meeting this morning. Left for the meeting at 8:30. The meeting scheduled for 9. It started at 9:30. All they did was tell us not to do anything that would cause downtime over the Christmas holidays. It's 10:20 and just got back home. There is no reason this meeting could not have been handled by sending out an eMail.
