Not just power user or psuedo admin, but overall productivity of all computer users in the company.

AND Especially, since you can get used/reconditioned macs the same speeds and prices as these low end Dells, and with the same warranty. And despite what people think, admins can limit what users can do on and remotely mamage Macs just like the PCs, our IT department just doesn't want to know how.

Dang mean boss's wife rousted us awake at 6:00 AM to go play in the compost pile. Dig up one pile, and put it in a different pile, then dump the barrel where the grass clippings and banana peels get composted onto the first pile, and then mix that in. It really is amazing how I can fill the barrel up with grass clippings, and it just reduces down a ton, and get dense and heavy. We will have lots of compost for next year. It has taken thee years to get it going like she wanted. Now off to the shower.

The bonus is the humidity is something to make the citizens of Savanna, GA jealous. Only 93% right now. Not a hit of a breeze. The air is kinda, nope, jut really thick. It is 72 degrees and the heat index is 76. Just silly humidity. All the rain we had all year has everything green and growing and pumping humidity into the air, and then the fronts keep coming in with more gulf air. I am ready for it to dry up just a bit. No drought please, but we have too much water. All the lakes are full, and most are still closed because they are over normal levels. The boat ramps are underwater. The lakes are doing what they were designed to do, moderate the flow of water down the river to the Arkansas river and into the Mississippi.

Morning all. Well the run of the mill cold turned out to be the full blow flu. I made to to work today but still feel like crap. Spent 3 hours in the ER on Friday with triple over triple BP readings. It has not been a great 4th.

Yuck. That sucks, and is a good reason to go to a doc when the symptoms go to flu like. Get the meds to help shorten the flu. The drugs only help if it is the first 36 hours or so.

Good luck, and you really need to stay home and in bed.

Where I work we frown on sick people showing up and spreading the illness, However they are a bit hypocritical whem they give out cards for a free family dinner to employees that do not take a sick day that year.

Let Pepper out back this morning. After a few minutes she started barking and I didn't think anything of it. She didn't stop so I went to see what she was barking at. Immediately noticed she was barking at the back gate in my stockade fence standing open. It was not open when I let her out. Closed it and she immediately was really happy with me. Check around and one of the front gates was unlatched as well. Assume someone came in the front gate and she got between them and the front gate so they went out the back gate.

Pepper did not go out either of the gates.

David, I have to apologize, I had the card sitting there while I tried to find the disc that goes with it and I forgot to send it. Will get it out to you now.

We had good weather over the weekend. Had burgers, brats, cheddar brats and such on the grill. Sister finally made it home to go out with dad for his birthday. The food was decent, but boy did they take a long time for the food to arrive.

Have to find a seat for the lawn tractor. A 2007 Cub LT1050. The vinyl has split in a couple seams now and the Permatex "The Right Stuff" works on the seams, but it is going to be more sealer than vinyl soon. OEM is a bit high.

Buenos Dias, y’all. June Gloom seems to be persisting here. Yesterday morning I felt a need to wear a light jacket. The highs/lows are staying in the 60s. I’m glad we’re not rushing into summer.

Back to work in the garage...

No need to apologize. I have been on vacation and then down sick so it would have stayed in the box till who knows when. I'll probably be apologizing about not getting it done and sent back.

Every employee is entitled to some sick days. If you are that vital to the company, you need a huge raise. If they can't survive without you for a week, they need to hire some additional employees that can help you.

I was a main employee at my old photolab job. I was called for Jury duty. The judge was even a client of ours, and we knew each other. He had one simple question, do you make over a 1/4 million per year. I was not even close to that for my salary. He said you will be on a jury, and go sit down and wait. I doubt the company I worked for ever made 1/4 million in net profits in a year. It did not matter to him. I was off work for 4 days doing very little but waiting and reading.

You don't need to send it back. I have another.

The old wheels are off the 911, and the old wheel weights removed and the wheels all cleaned up where the weights were. The new tires and the old wheels are in the bed of the El Camino, and I am off to the tire shop as soon as the normal rush hour dies down.

I am weird in lots of ways, and on is I prefer the Porsche OEM style wheel weights from the era. The squared off edges, stamped face with a weight in grams of the weight, and the curved back to stick to the curve of the wheel just look right. I can't find a source for new ones, but I have saved my old ones over the years, and reused them many times. I have a small stash of them from a friend that worked at a wheel shop for a time.

Just soak them in lacquer thinner and the old adhesive falls off. I am more gentle on the wheel, I use Goof off and a nylon scraper knife thing. The old adhesive all comes off and there is no sign the weight was ever there.

As soon as the rush hour dies down I will head to the downtown OKC area and drop off the wheels. Some normal people just take their car to a regular shop or have a mobile shop come to their house. It must me easier to be normal, but I will never know.

These are the weights I have. It looks like three different companies have made them. I see three different logos on them. I would love to find a source to buy some new ones. These are a little beat up, from many miles of driveling and getting peeled off and reused.
