Thank you for showing Plymouth Rock. Never on my bucket list but if I'd stumbled on that as a national monument I would have been pissed. I certainly reinforces the phrase they landed AT Plymouth Rock, not on it.
I'd like to see a cartoon.

If you're ever in Cambridge/Boston, for the love of god, don't touch the John Harvard statue; pissing on it is a right of passage for the freshmen.

We went to Plymouth Rock as it was on a loist of place to see on our Parade trip to Vermont. We deliberately hit all the New England states, while driving my 911. Plymouth rocak was not much to see, but the replica Mayflower was in port. We just walked over and there was no line to take a tour. It was cool to see an accurate reproduction of the Mayflower. I can't fathom going across the Atlantic with livestock, and lots of people all crammed into that little ship. I am glad they came, but I am really happy I did not have to make that voyage.
The next week after out tour they were going to sail the ship to some repair dry dock for a refurbish. We got lucky in that we say it before it went to dry dock.

Phew. The yard is edged, string trimmed and mowed.
The Oklahoma state song is from the play, Oklahoma! by Rogers and Hammerstein. One of the famous lines is "where the wind comes sweeping down the plains". There was no wind at all while I was outside. My wife has a little decorative windmill in the Koi pond area that was dead still. The heat index was 109. The idiot yard boy cutting the front yard missed a large area, so I had to open the storage building, and fire up the mower to finish it. I would fire that idiot mower guy, but he works for free so I can't cut his salary. I decided to bribe him to do a better job by treating him to a Erdinger Dunkle beer. That is one of my favorite beers. He works on my cars as well, for just beer as payment.

![]() The other photo was before I had to replace my alternator. "While I was in there" with the fan and housing out, I had them ceracoated in an titanium color. That raw magnesium just looks bad with the layer of corrosion on top.

Today is oil is the 2017,000 mile oil change for the 911.
I need to adjust the clutch again. I am not sure if the cable is stretching, or is some adjustment nut is loose. The clutch is just 57,000 miles old. Replacing the cable is no a big deal, except for stuffing my face down in the pedal box area. There is no graceful way to get to the pedal cluster clevis pin at my age. I did it several times on my 914, but I was much younger then.

got a scissorlift?
You can lift the car to work on the pedal box area and that kinda makes it easier

![]() Yep, I have it on the lift right now. Oil change is done. Not exactly a 10 minute oil change. It took me a bit over three hours. I did change that S hose as well. Clean up and getting the oil into a container to take to the hazardous waste disposal site, and adding all the oil takes a while for the worlds slowest mechanic. It is on the mechanical stops now, and tomorrow I will do the clutch cable adjustment. It is 100 degrees and heat index of 103. My garage AC kept it in the upper 70s with much lower humidity. I had almost no sweat. It sure beats coming in soaking wet for sweat.

very nice setup !
Got me all kinds of supplies coming in, Trannie fluid, Mobil1, filters, brake disks, bout to go pickup clean Cayman S wheels (as it was originall) and need fresh Michelins, cause these winter tires are oooooold and its really a liability to drive it like this in any kind of sporty fashion Got the engine lid off for an initial cleaning.. it was very overdue. Car probably never had an owner before that opened its engine lid. Its nowhere near clean enough, but its a start ![]() ![]() This was with just a rag, next effort will involve a brush

One reason I was happy to buy this house, is that area covered in posters behind the 911 is a bathroom. It is heated and air conditioned with the house HVAC system. It is always cool in the summer and warm in the winter in that little bathroom. When I saw the oversize 3 car garage, with a workshop area, and a bathroom in the garage I said SOLD. I assumed it came with a kitchen and a bedroom or two.
My wife saw the closet in the master bedroom and said sold. You open the door and think, yep, a nice big closet, then you walk in 5 feet and turn left for 12 more feet. That engine looks a lot better now Stijn. Keep on cleaning and bonding with your new toy.

I saw this picutre in the house listing...
and "rear access" ![]() It was pretty much a done deal in my head after that. Unless the house itself would have had massive, major, horrible issues,... it was a done deal.. (the house was pretty ok actually, not fancy but good enough for single me)

When I was looking for my first house back in 1979 I told the real estate agent one absolute requirement was a garage. The very first house they took me to had the garage converted to living space. They got out and walked toward the house and I sat in the car. They asked what's wrong and I said it is obvious there is no garage, I am not interested in this place. They finally understood, it was a absolute requirement to have a garage.
The finally found my old bachelor pad house. It was built in the 1950s, but every previous owner had been a Mr. Fix it. It had central heat and air conditioning, all new copper plumbing and a two car wide driveway. It was a great little house but I sold it after I got married and we dumped that money and the sale of my wife's house into a down payment and large chunk towards the mortgage of this house.

We have a Porsche club even coming up shortly.
We are meeting the Tulsa region club members at Pop's in Acadia, OK. They have virtually every soda pop sold in the USA. https://pops66.com/ They are on Rt-66 and then the two clubs will have a drive down to Moore. OK to a German restaurant. It is an even 100 degrees outside, so I will have the AC cranked on for sure. The restaurant has good food. The restaurant opens at 5:00 so I don't know what we are doing for the drive to use up the time to get there. Rt, 66 does not go close to Moore. It is not a very long drive for us, but Tulsa is 100 miles from here, so they have a decent drive for the day.
