Here's something to amuse y'all.

After a nice hike this morning (beautiful weather, hills greener than before) I was heading back home to watch the F1 replay Sitting at one stoplight in Newport Beach I saw some vintage Ferrari but couldn't hear what engine it had. Not a pontoon-body Testa Rossa but pre-1960 sports racer. I liked it better than the two Bugatti Type 35s I saw yesterday in Laguna Beach.

Anyway, at the next stoplight I am first in line in the left lane on PCH. There is another lane to my left that is left turn only. Sitting there is a black Mercedes GLK (not the big Gelandewagen) with windows up. I have my window down, playing Wagner on the CD player (not very loud). After waiting a bit at the light I hear someone shout "Hello!". I turned and the windows were down in the Merc, and there were two blondes in it. about my age.

I said "hello", smiled, and after taking a better look asked "do I know you?" (It would not be the first time someone recognizes me and I don't remember them). She just said something to the effect of "How is it going?" and then her car started to move a the light turned green so I pulled away too and the girl in the passenger seat yelled "call me" as they turned.

Unfortunately I did not get her number as this all happened in about 20 seconds. The only explanation I can come up with is that the driver dared the passenger to do that and they had a good laugh about it. Which I am ok with because it brightened my morning.

It sure was a strange, unfamiliar situation for me, though.

And, predictably, I remember more about the cars I saw than the girls.

Max, you should call up that young woman you met at the stoplight and ask her if she'd like to go to the Big Head Todd show Tuesday night!

I would have called her if she had given me her number!

It would be at it way past Tuesday if I tried calling every girl in the Newport Beach phone book.

That might not be a bad idea actually.

I am sure Balboa Island has a lot of girls looking to party. The guys young and old at work tell stories about the bars there. Apparently there's a rich end and then practically a student ghetto at the other end, but with less students and more bars.

Well, first day back at the W place. Hasn't changed, still sucked.

The biggest talk of the town when we got back was this photo

It appeared in the local paper a couple of weeks ago. And yep, it's exactly what it appears to be.

Nothing like putting your jatz cracker on display for the whole town, the dude has now hit legendary status. Bwahahahahahaha, boneheads!

Good Monday morning folks.

I would pick today to decide it is spring and wear shorts to work. It is supposed to be 82 degrees today. That is 28 is Celsius speak. Somehow 82 sounds warmer.

Nothing hangs out of the leg openings except my legs.

On the commute in this morning I was behind a real pin head. That driver looked like it was a 5 year old kid's head. I mean he or she had a head the size of a cantaloupe, REALLY!. The limited brain size must have something to do with the fact they were driving 7 MPH under the 60 MPH speed limit with no one in front of them for 1/2 a mile.
