Pete, WOW!

I am in shorts this week. It is 82 degrees outside.

I guess in just over two years I can come visit if Parade is really held up there. I hope all that snow melts by June!

Wow okay we all know just how excited to have to go to NJ for a redundant class, I was just told I have an additional two days the week before. 6 hours up, 7 back since it is up hill, twice in two weeks. Rickie it just thrilled to no end. I know there are going to be a few laws broken on those trips, I like staying "safe"

Well gee, NJ is the garden state right? you should enjoy all the pretty gardens while there.

Much like Garden City, KS.

For those that are not familiar with Garden City, KS it is best well know for the cattle feed lots. They produce a LOT of of fertilizer in the form of cattle excrement. Also know as essence of Congress.

My dad booked our rooms today. We are in Casa Munras, which looks like it is only about a mile from the Hyatt, so within walking distance (or bike distance) for me if need be. Check in 16th, check out any time we like but we can never leave. But we plan to check out on Sunday the 22nd in the morning and head back to TO with a stopover in SLO for lunch.

Sunday (end of Parade) I am going to have 285 miles in the 911 and 80 miles in the hatchback coming back from Monterey to Fountain Valley.

That's nothing compared to Glen's drive, but it is a long way for me. The furthest I have driven the 911 in one day.

The 911's not exactly suited to long-distance driving. Earplugs are mandatory and a jacket is suggested. Gets breezy with no windows (still haven't gotten around to getting new Lexan. We'd also need some way to keep them up, and then we'd be left with all the gaps around the fiberglass door.

Glen's car would be much better for long-hauls. Or in the rain. My car doesn't do rain very well. I might bring the wiper arms along this time, though. Gets foggy up there.

I've done the 165 miles to SLO and then the same distance home in the 911, but only one leg per day. I think it will be the furthest I have driven alone in one day. I've gone 100 miles TO to Willow Springs, 100 miles home with my dad, then 165 to SLO all in one day, and I have done 100+100+80 to Fountain valley in one day alone.

That's still not far at all! I went on a welt long scuba diving/camping trip in the 944 one year, the first and last days were both over 300 miles.

There's a lot more stuff in 300 miles of California than 300 miles of Oklahoma.

Except if you go through the Central Valley, and I am not going to do that! Coast route.
