Watch out! With the combination of January being post holiday, it is cold and cloudy, and it is Monday...well the moron in everyone is readily apparent. Have already seen irrefutable evidence.

Think it'll be home made chili for lunch.

You know how to party hardy.

My wife used to have a Mercedes. We would win a free oil change from the Mercedes dealer at the MBCA club dinners. Free is my price. Anyway I would "get" to the be the one to take it in and drop it off. They have a nice pick up and delivery service. I would sign in and then have to wait for the driver to be going my direction. They have a free coffee bar, soda fountain, muffins, cookies, and even bananas. I always got some free coffee and a bagel and the driver was prompt.

At the local Chevy dealer there is a water fountain.

It's kinda funny, I'm at the dealership that I worked at right out of high school washing cars. I remember the service department being really big. But wow it's small

I never had my Elky serviced by a dealer but I did go buy parts there a few times before the days of the internet. I still remember asking about the plastic center caps for the wheels. 100% plastic and just to cover the hub. They wanted $185 each! I had to buy Chinese crap center caps for years. Now Chevy is selling authorized reproductions that look like OEM quality for $50 for a set of 4. I bought some.

I'm having a safety recall done, otherwise it wouldn't be here.

Took a Jeep Cheorkee in once and they accidentally drove it off the lift and had to replace a wheel and tire.

Took in and and told the service advisor it thought it was a dog. As he walked around it I hit the rear washer button and it sprayed from the fender well onto his leg.

Also took it in and told the advisor it made a bonking noise. Had him lift the rear door and sure enough in a few seconds it bonked him on the head.

Followed an empty semi once on the highway. He was going way over the 80mph peg on the cherokee speedo. According to my calculations of distance and time traveled we were doing 140.

Another time dropped some friends off at OKC airport. Got in with a Vette and a GTI again with the Cherokee speedo pegged. Picked the friends up as they walked out of the DFW terminal to hail a cab.

Traded that thing off when it got demon possessed and started playing tapes backwards. Actually was because I had the extra warrantee that was supposed to cover electronics too and they told me it would not cover the radio. The warrantee specifically said it would. Rather than hassle with it, just got rid of it...arse holes. No more Chrysler products for me.

The wife's town & country has been pretty good. It's got 95k on it now so it will be traded in here in a few months. By contrast I've had my Tundra since 2002.

At every autocross I realize how old my car really is. My 1985 911 is usually the oldest car there. On occasion another air cooled Porsche shows up, but not often. Most of the time it is 2000 and newer cara, many brand new cars are out there.

I drove a rental Hyundai Sonata recently. I can see the advantages of the modern tech but all those gizmos are just thinks to break.

After 348,000 mile not one window motor, automatic door lock, ABS or traction control system has ever had any problem on the Elky. Like the water pump and power steering pump on the Carrera they are 100% failure proof.

Never an issue with the air bags or the tire pressure monitoring systems on either car.

The stock Air Pressure warning system on my 90 928 worked fantastic if you did what the manual says when you change a tire or add air. You air it to 30 psi drive it around the block, air it up to 44 and drive around the block then air it to the set pressure of 36. If they did it via computer like they did at the shop it always started falsing.\

Evidentially owners complained because my 94 92 does not have the tire pressure monitor as an option any more.

I keep saying I'm gonna buy a new truck but I like my tundra better than everything I've looked at. Plus I'd have a very hard time spending 50k on a truck!

Vehicles worth having have gotten stupid expensive. You know it's BS when you see an ad where they are giving you $10K off MSRP.

Friend has gotten two Kia Souls just because they are under $14K.

Kia's are so cheap he and his wife sit on pillows if they take a trip in them because the seats make their butts hurt.

When I took the Cayenne on vacation the only part that hurt was when I realized that somewhere on the trip I lost my favorite pocket knife and I can't get one like it any more.

Usually turn sound off on phone when playing games waiting at doctor. Then forget and miss calls the rest of the day.

Gotten so many phantom vibrates when I think it vibrated and it didn't have turned vibrate off.
