Good Morning

Don't know how it happened, laid down and all the sudden it is morning. Either slept real good, did some kind of time travel, or lost unconsciousness some how. Either way feel rested. And just achey enough that stretching feels really good too. Maybe it had something to do with changing the set back thermostat to 72°F instead of 73°F. That 1 degree doesn't feel any different but makes me wake up all hot and sweaty. Thought I would try slowly moving the temp up so I would get used to it being warmer and warmer so I could eventually save electricity on my A/C. But even after a couple of months it just ruins my sleep.

Last night I mention to Mrs Carrera that I was planning to meet Jim and his wife and Richard at a restaurant near the interstate with good parking. I figured she would pick right up on Pearl's but she was think about the downtown Bricktown area which is a good idea except for parking.

Anyway I told her Pearl's was a good choice, and this morning as I left for work I kissed her goodby and said Pearl's and noon. She thought I say Earl's which is a BBQ place in Bricktown. She is planning on meeting with us and texted me that she would come to my office and just ride with me down there. I told her that is fine or just meet us at Pearl's. That is when she figured out it was NOT Earl's. She would has been a little bit upset if I ate at "our" restaurant and she was by herself at Earl's downtown.

I am real glad we got that worked out.

I don't get the allure. Watched one stripper grab some dude's head with her legs and shove his head into her hoohaa. Clothes or not, doesn't do anything for me, in fact, kinda grosses me out to think that on other nights, she ain't wearing anything and doing the same thing with multiple guys heads.

On the other hand, I've never had so many "women" come up to me in one night... Only to ask if I wanted to party in the back room - which means tossing a lot of cash around and then some. Meh, not for me. Bands were good.
I never understood the appeal and always thought it would smell like a mexican fish market.

Back in the late 70s when I was driving my non-air-conditioned 914 I was working at a shop where the bosses wife would turn the AC way back and it was 80 or hotter and I was working under hot lights. I had to drive just a few miles home but the 100+ full sun days were brutal when I start off feeling hot and just get hotter.

There was a beer joint with a A/C vent that blew right on one chair with 50 degree air. You could not sit there for more than 15 minutes but man it felt great for the 15 minutes of cooling off. They changed owners and decided to to change to a strip joint and hire some skanks.

I still stopped and bought a draft beer for a buck fifty and cooled off on the HOT days even with skanks dancing a stage.

The vending guys would go out every year around Christmas to different bars and strip clubs.
The year I was single they decided it would "fun" to get me a private dance. The gal was dressed like Britney Spears and looked smokin' on stage. When she got to the table she was less than that. I declined the dance.

We used to go to Canada when border crossing was easy to see the full show. Here in MI they cannot serve alcohol and have completely nude dancers. No such rules over there.

Like others have stated, I didn't care to get too close.

Went to what was supposed to be a nice club several years ago only because that is what the group I was with wanted to do.

1.) The smell was horrible. Lets just say it did NOT smell like women's perfume or lady parts, I could have handled that. The place smelled like semen.

2.) The girls weren't that hot looking. Not even the girl announced as the best show if the night. The only reason I could figure she was the best was because she wore a cowboy hat and came out dressed in chaps had big tits and a big butt.

3.) If it wasn't smokey enough they would pump more out on stage. Maybe they should have used some vap stuff in the smoke to perfume up the place.

4.) There was an ATM that according to the sign on it dispensed dollar bills.

5.) Nothing going around doing lap dances was anything I wanted to get that close to. Even the girls that just came from doing their stage show. And they were each escorted by 2 bouncers.

There was enough room comparing the building size and the size of the area inside for private rooms somewhere, but never saw any sort of way to get to them, or anyone pairing up with a girl and disappearing while we were there.

The best thing about it was our group leaving after only 2 of the girls did their on stage routines.

Maybe if I had been a LOT drunker and wearing lots of cologne it would have been different.

Had a much better experience when I was 17. Went with my older cousin to see her brothers band play. It was at a bar that was taken over by a Biker gang. It looked like a dump. The only reason be got past the big biker dude at the door was because of my cousin in the band. Once inside I remember being shocked at how nice, clean, and well lit it was. There were girls that were actually good looking dancing necked at several places around place. Thought that was illegal in OK. The only seedy looking part was the bikers themselves and they looked pretty scarey too. Overall it was much nicer than the club mentioned above.

From the looks we were getting from the bikers I thought both me me and the cousin I came in with were going to get beat up and raped. My cousin in the band asked me to do some artwork for their bass drum. Their band was called The Wizards and they wanted a wizard with skulls and snakes and stuff on their drum. About half way though the design for the drum some of the bikers saw it and liked it. They immediately wanted me to draw skulls and dragons and necked women and stuff they could either get a tattoo from or put on their bikes. I did several. One of the necked dancers posed for a tattoo drawing. They all decided I was cool and treated us like part of the group. Pretty sure both my cousin and his sister were relieved. Won't say how they paid me, but I could not refuse and did enjoy the experience.

Burp.

Lunch was great but the company was better. Jim and his wife are a wonderful couple like I expected. I even got to pet the attack schnauzer and avoided any attacks!

I have a photo but I failed to get permission to post the picture from Jim. I know Richard does not care but I don't want to post pictures of Jim without permission.

Jim, if you want to post your picture with us go right ahead.

Careful, you might break something trying to post a pic of me.

Pepper enjoyed meeting EVERYONE! Including the attack schnauzer.

I thinks Pepper enjoys pretty much everything. Well maybe not vet visits.

We all are quite FAR from being models.

Models of intelligence, wit, manners, wisdom, and most of all modesty but no modeling agency will be calling us.

She likes both the vet and the groomer. They are next door to each other.

The groomer wants me to let Pepper have puppies and she wants one of them.

We had a great time meeting up with Glen, Mrs. Carreras and Richard. Glen, we really enjoyed eating at Pearls, too. Great choice! And Kiera, the attack schnauzer, really enjoyed meeting Pepper!

Here are the usual suspects...

Thanks again guys for taking time out to meet with us hopelessly lost retirees!

Sid, we're not sure, but it could be as early as Friday night or maybe sometime on Saturday. We'll firm the plan up more as we get closer to the weekend. Talk to you soon...
