Well that is interesting. With Win10 and Cisco Anyconnect I can log in to the VPN without Outlook2016 from losing it's connection to Office365.
Was also able to setup Remote Desktop to the servers I manage.

Now for the fun part. The file sharing won't connect to any Windows servers inside the VPN.
Connects to the Mac servers just fine.

Not for a while. PCA does a group rate. It is often a wonderful deal. PCA will have a email to resister the rooms after they have the rate locked in. The room in French Lick is regularly 400 per night or more. We were at about 140 per night. This year the third cheapest place we stayed was the Parade Condo. Several of the rooms at other places cost lots more.

Ha ha ha...bosses can't connect to any shares thru the VPN either.
When I complained about the VPN configuration on win7 when you logged into VPN, Outlook stopped connecting to Office365. They told me they didn't have any problem. Seems they were running Win10 and while Outlook stays connected, you can't access any shares...the whole reason for users vpn access! You can still do remote desktop, which is what IT staff do to manage servers, but using that to see of VPN access to shares work is not very good testing as they are completely different protocols and ports. But hey, what do I know.

If they would just give back the access to manage the firewall to the person that knows how, we wouldn't have these problems. We didn't when I was managing it before!

Central time is now Sparrow fart o-clock. Start the coffee pot, turn on the hot water heater for a shower, and lets get this day going!

While waiting for the water to heat up I found a Cayenne Turbo in my price range to check out. It's metallic beige with a brown interior and has almost the exact same miles as mine asking is only $11K. It's in norther CA and looks meticulously taken care of. If it's got corner lights I'm makin a offer!

Found out my credit rating is 820 so bet the banks would way more than I could afford or even more than I would want to spend on a car.

Have decided that any of the Cayennes with corner lighting, air suspension, and trailer towing package in good condition will do. I can get a kit to change the gauge colors, but can't add the corner lighting. Have given up one just a Titianiam edtion that has the corner lighting and light gauge faces that someone has added the options of both air suspension and trailer towing package. All turbos have the air suspension, trying to find out if the corner lighting is standard on them. The towing package is an option and no light gauge faces.

Mechanic called me last night and told me he would be interested in taking my Cayenne in trade for the engine re-build AND he has got the materials together and scheduled to build the custom x-pipe this Friday. Says his second son is going to be driving age very soon and wants a Cayenne like his older brother and mother. And says he has a client that is interested after telling him about it for his son if his son decides he doesn't want it. Have told him I was looking to get $12K for it.

Good Morning Group!

OK, I will. This year was the first time we registered for the hotel before registering for parade. Normally it was done as you finished the registration process.

Good over the hump day!

Mornin'.

I really like that color Richard although I'm not a fan of SUVs, even the Cayenne.

Sent a pic of the Singer 4.0 to my boss with a request for a pay rise. Yet to get a reply. I really don't think he's committed to this relationship.

Basically have one for a "Winter Beater." Had the belly pans scraped off the 928 one year when a big chunk of ice fell off the car in front of me so decided I needed a winter beater. The Cayenne rides and drives the least SUV like of the SUVs I've driven.

Like the color too, but not getting excited about anything until I'm actually driving it. Specially after the last one sent me a pic that showed it didn't have air suspension.

This one's area code is San José CA. AND it's a Turbo not just an S. Here's a pic with the 22 in wheels I have on mine now...

I kinda like it, Same color as my Mazda MPV was. I called it concrete camouflage.

When is a good time to call someone in Cali?

Think there is some sort of relationship training for bosses to keep them out of work relationships that don't involve them being an a.....Management 101, chapter 2. Your employees are not your friends, or How to F your employees without getting sued.

Took a one day management seminar thing. They gave us a test of how you would handle different situations. Had everyone with one score range come up to one side of the speaker. The everyone with another score range come up to the other side of the speaker. Out of around 100 people 10 where in the first group (I was one of them). There were the same amount in the other group.

Just as the second group had finish coming up he pointed to them and said these are the introverts in this group. Notice they have lined up in a straight line, are all facing me, and have unconsciously arranged themselves from shortest to tallest. He was right they had.

Then he pointed at my group and said these are the extroverts. Noticed how the are just kind of bunched up, most aren't even facing me, and they are talking amongst themselves asking who works where and what they do to try to figure out who makes the most money. He was right again.

It was a pretty entertaining course, but didn't teach much except the differences between introverts and extroverts and what to expect from each.

He asked what kind of car an extrovert would drive. Then said it didn't matter as long as the horn worked. Said introverts haven't ever used their horn and don't know if it works or not.

That's interesting.
My win7 virtual machine uses 70GB.
The win10 virtual machine with same software etc uses 19GB.

Richard, $12k isn't bad for a trade on the engine work considering all they are doing.

Your Win10 is using 19GB now, get back to us in 2 months and let us know if it hogs space up like all the other MS stuff. Hoping Win 10 at least does better housekeeping than the other ones.

I have a decent boss in as much as she will go to bat for our department when other senior management don't have a clue how things work. I think I have had only one boss I really hated working for.

All my life I have worked at small family owned businesses. From my first job to this one, if I have a problem or need to talk about any issue I know exactly who to talk to.

At the photolab where I worked for over 25 years the boss was the man that started the company. Like many family businesses he "hired" his wife to work there. Of course as the bosses wife she figured she was a instant expert. She was a dump aunt, (I miss spelled aunt, it is supposed to start with a different letter) and tried to tell me how to do my job and was flat wrong about the procedures to produce a good product. After just a few weeks I went to the boss and closed the door. I asked him point blank who was the ultimate boss. He was.
I explained what his wife was trying to instruct me to do. He said to just ignore her. I took that literally. I just ignored her completely and did my job in the proper way. I went for years without speaking to her except to request she move out of the way so I could do my job. She would get so pissed she would go home and we all cheered. She always came back the next day.

Finally she became a grandma and stopped coming to work to stay home and take care of the kid. It was great.

I have worked for both the small mom and pop shops and the nation wide corp monsters. The place I work now used to be a one man owner/mgr. We were bought by a corp monster. Now its funny to watch others complain about how things used to be and why they are not having fun.

The guy selling the cayenne originally wanted me to wire him the cash then he would fedex me the title.

Told him I would send him $1000 earnest money after we both had copies of a bill of sale. Then he fedex's me a signed title. As soon as I receive the title I wire him the balance. And make arrangements for the car transport. He doesn't want to send the title without full payment.

Now he has come up with a consignment car dealer. He takes the car and title to the consignment dealer and signs a consignment agreement giving them the right to sell the car. They send me a copy of the agreement and a bill of sale I sign and send back to them. Then I wire them the money and they send me the title and I make arrangements to pick up the car.

Hmmmm

Gee, when I sold the 911 to the due in Belgium he sent us $500 to our PayPal account with an hour of our speaking by phone. He then wired the money to our bank. Once the wire was cleared and I knew it was green I told him he could arrange pickup. The transport company took the signed title with them.

Seems like he wants to make it difficult.

Why couldn't you ask one our CA Pelicans to pick up the car after you wire the payment? You could then work out transport from there. The Pelican would have the title in hand.

You might contact Speeder or Onewhippedpuppy. They were a lot of help to me and seem like good folk.
