Business at work has picked up. Made a small profit last month that they divided equally as a bonus between all the employees. This month they have been working the machine shop overtime. Next month the are going to start a night shift again in the machine shop.

On another subject...
My brother with MS is going to a special hospital in Ft Smith for stem cell treatment. A Canadian study is showing really good results, not just stopping MS, but in some cases reversing the damage.

On a more satisfying note...
Sister called asking about some of Mom's stuff she discovered the history on and wanted. SHE threw it away! It was a nativity scene made out of some kind of special white sparkly stuff, and the figures were heavy like stone. It was given to Mom by her first husbands father, her grandfather. Serves her right, she wasn't supposed to throw anything away when mom passed, only take things she wanted for herself or kids? Found out later they took a lot of stuff they thought I wouldn't want and threw it away. Can't imagine why they thought I wouldn't want the nativity scene I grew up with and have had under my Christmas tree as long as I can remember.

Good Monday morning all.

Back at work again. We have our big charity car show next weekend. The biggest thing limiting our turnout has been promotion. We have the same few guys on the board doing the work. Of course we get the same pay rate that my wife pays me to dig holes. Now I did not say compensation, just the paycheck. At the car show we usually stand around after the event and thank each other, and a eventually we go down to the charity and donate the check from the proceeds. That usually gets us a hug from the lady at the charity that they pick to be in the picture with us, so we get a hug as well.

In the last15 years we have donated over 27 grand to charities. Not bad for a core group of a handful of guys. many of them have left and been replaced by others. That group still trudges on.

This year has been great. The Mercedes Benz club has joined forces with us and they are actually organized and have regular meetings. I think this ill be the best charity car show we have ever had.

When I was taking care of Mom I contacted that charity trying to get help. They didn't offer much that would help and instead got a couple of surprise visits from a social worker they sicked on me to make sure I wasn't abusing her. Ouch.

Hey fellas.

It's certainly Monday.

Yesterday I felt like garbage. Something weird going on inside my gut. I slept most of the day. Of course, Mr. Barky McBarkBark thought it would be awesome to bark and whine/whimper for 2 straight hours as we were trying to sleep last night. Finally, about 2 am my wife decided he needed to go downstairs. He was still doing but it wasn't in our room anymore.

This morning my laptop crashed. It turns on but a message comes up to "restart system". How the F do I do that if I can't get it to start? grrrrr

I'm taking it to the computer repair shop this morning.

Put a windup clock in the kennel with the puppy. They SAY that works. Never had to do it myself.

Pepper didn't have any night barking, I had a t-shirt from her dog bed they gave me that I put in her bed. (which was with Mom).

My other two dogs when first brought them home slept with them leashed to me with news papers on the floor in the leash area. They never used it though.

My first dog, Penny, used the bathroom for a kennel when I went to work. Put newspapers all over the floor. After a couple of days she always went in the same spot so only put the papers there and praised her when I picked the papers up and threw them away. After a week she never used the papers again. After 2 weeks she was house broken and didn't put her in the bathroom any more.

When I came home Penny was always barking. Once I parked down the street and sneaked up on the house and listened. She didn't make a peep. When I drove the car in the driveway or opened the door was when she started barking.

Mack did the same thing when he was little but we were younger and had no kids so probably a less stressed.

I'll try the clock trick tonight.

When he was little we both worked so he had to stay in his kennel all day but he got used to it and didn't hesitate to go right in when we were leaving.

I took the laptop in and the dude told me the hard drive is messed up. He won't know for sure until he gets it open, of course.

There is an urgent care place not far from them so I stopped in so they check out my gut issue.

Blood in urine, white blood cells are high but no hernia. They did an xray and they told me there is a pocket of air which is causing the issue. Now I have to be at another imaging place at 2pm for a CT scan. They gave me 2 bottles of dye stuff to drink before I get there.

What a PIA! Now, my wife is worried that I have some disease.

I hope that is something easy to fix. I have lots of pockets of "air" that are expelled at regular intervals. I hope you issue is that simple.

The hangup isn't my personal paperwork.

I still think a MK19 would be ideal for the task. The USCG agrees, but only for their boats/personnel
The MK 19 would work too. Cheaper as well and probably accurate enough. Not as flashy.

Oh nooooo. When I had painful gut thing with the word pockets they removed 14 inches of my colon. Told me those pockets get stuff in them then get infected.

When I did the go lightly juice for the colonoscopy...man it felt so good to get everything out of my gut I almost enjoyed it.

Yep, colon is shorter than it once was. And they left a scar from my belly button down to my waist.

I can't remember the last time I overslept. It has been a LONG time. When it is time to get up, I hop out of bed awake and ready to go. Well go to the bathroom and stuff. I get to work early every time.
