So I hope this isn't gross, if anyone is offended, just PM me and I'll remove the pic.

Can't say enough about cheap choice porterhouses with a light BBQ sauce glaze, grilled on a coolish hot grille (hardwood only). I get it glowing in a chimney after 20+ minutes, top pieces aren't started, dump in grille and let sit for 10 minutes. Put the steak on, 4 minutes, turn, 2 minutes, flip, 2+ minutes, poke at it, brush top side with more sauce, flip for 30 seconds. Heinz has a line of sauces with real ingredients, no corn syrup (I never buy anything processed) and their Kansas City flavor is fantastic, at least to me. It's got frickin' tamarind and anchovies in it, so someone cared about making a great BBQ sauce.

It looked fantastic off the grille but honestly, who cares about a grilled steak these days. It was monumentally tasty. Even though choice, this could have passed for prime with the marbling it had. Fantastic piece of meat. Pre gnawing pic. That bone is clean as a whistle at the time of this writing.

Get cheap porterhouses and grille the **** out of them.

Anyone who doesn't appreciate that pic is off their rocker!

That's a thing of beauty, Shaun!

When I read the first few words of the post, I was worried about seeing pictures of deep-fried baby birds, or somesuch.

Steak? Only problem with that is I didn’t get to eat it.

Trying to eat more fruit. Last two Watermelons were disasters so will try again tomorrow. These peaches are pretty good....

Slaw dog for lunch - with kettle chips and ice cold diet Coke - with 5 ice cubes in a tall mug.

Oscar Mayer Angus wiener, fresh Wonder Bread bun, spicy dark brown mustard, and Publix sweet cole slaw....yum!

Baz, you inspired me though the deep fryer hasn't come yet so no sweet potato fries with my dog. Two hot dogs on garlic grilled French roll, garlic, parsley, dijon sour cream (let marry for 2 days) with salad pickles, red and green onions. Excellent lunch. Getting the grille going just for the bread proved to very worthwhile.

WOW....that is phenomenal, Shaun!

The salad pickles were a nice touch.

What brand/type of dogs, if you don't mind me asking?

Yum - sounds good. I knew you'd have something special.

The Cape Cod kettle chips are good with a dog - or burger, too.

Happy (forthcoming) Independence Day, Shaun!

Great minds think alike! We're doing grilled hot dogs, elote' and potato salad for the 4th. I made these Korean wings last weekend with a cucumber/ tomato salad and grilled corn....
