I thought the Spear Fish has a rear Thru Axel? What tire psi? I'm 190+/- and run 28psi in the rear on tubeless Stans Arch. Maybe it's tire pressure related?

The Spearfish 1 is thru-axle rear. I have a 2. I suspect it may be tire pressure as I had them switch to tubeless and everything was still sorting out so I very easily could have been 5-10 lbs low. The tubeless is crazy. Was flat Sun morning, I pumped it up and I could hear/feel air coming out of the sidewall on the front tire. I left, came back a half hour later and it was sealed and still had air. Guys swear by tubless and I have to say that the prospect of not having to worry about goats heads is nice but we'll see.

Use good sealant and add some every 3 months or so-stan's and others form "boogers" inside the tire. There's a killer thread on MTBR about hombrew if you have a day to read it. You'll love it though, the reduced pressures are great.

As for the bike I'm sold on DS. The only thing I need to sort out is the rear feels a little washy in a turn and I may need to tension up the rear wheel. Or that is just how the rear suspension feels.
I see the future - a spin bike at your desk, keyboard mounted in front of tri forearm supports, ns typing away with a flat aero back, and all the girls admiring his guns of steel

Not sure anyone is into vintage mtb stuff but thought I'd offer these free for the taking before tossing away. Just found these in my toolbox. Brand new spindles for the first gen Shimano SPD737. Years ago I pulled them from brand new pedals and replaced with the titanium versions. (Rotten memories: thief stole my bike ) PM if interested.

Back on road bikes!

Well after a long break from road cycling (over 10 years) I pulled the trigger and purchased a new road bike. Began daily commutes last week and I feel SO OUT OF SHAPE!!!

WOW things have changed, training log (strava), GPS, bike geometry, etc.

I am having so much fun! Although the wind in North Dakota never stops and always knows how to be a headwind no matter my direction lol.

Anyway here is my bike.

Man, that's a small bike. I couldn't ride a bike with a wheelbase that short...

There is a lot of wide angle lens distortion. But it is a small bike.
