And Magnus has been a licensed Cup racer with the POC for probably about 15 years. He does know how to drive and race, but occasionally does have his bad moments. But who of us hasn't? |

I respect Magnus's choices to do what he likes, of course when he challenges 'the norm' there will always be people that appreciate what he does and those that judge him and attempt to knock him down. Hey, as long as he is true to himself and enjoying his journey then I wish him all the very best in life, there should be more people like that in the world. If anybody has seen his TEDX talk you should get an idea that he is a genuine and honest person who speaks from the heart with passion and integrity. Like others I've just found out his wife of many years has recently passed away, I send my condolences. |

Can their cars run on the track? Yes. They are well built and are not some thrown together mix of parts that don't work with each other. But they aren't racecars.

You made a lot of good points in your post. I don't really mine what people do with their cars and keep the criticism to a minimum. One thing I don't understand is the umpteen cars on this forum with iroc/RS 3.0 body work on their tribute cars with RSR insignia on them... |

![]() All of us bring energy and style to the Porsche hobby, including Magnus. I have no problem with him personally as i've never met him. I simply don't like it and have the balls to write it. Nobody really speaks the truth anymore. I do like his other cars a lot. Some designs just don't need these kinds of changes in my view. Ask yourself honestly: What would Butzi think? You know the answer.

The moment I've got 7 figures in Porsches and post projects and my garage here and people trash me when I start making a living at it is the moment I SERIOUSLY start laughing at the haters. This isn't my favorite car, but let's get real: 1) Many of us, myself included, have done some dumb things in a car whether due to ego, distraction, etc. I'm not going to sit and judge Magnus' spin as if I'm holier than thou. 2) If you've ever read the beginning of his thread on here or interacted with him I've never been put off by him. While I don't know him personally I've said hi at cars & coffee on several occasions and never found him anything but extremely pleasant and humble. 3) I own an advertising company. I get how doing so much these days results in more writer-written lines in promotional material. You know what? I'd LOVE to turn my porsche passion into a business line. And appeasing everyone who seems to dislike in direct correlation to my own success would further amuse me. Just my opinion, but if you know anything about magnus you know he raced extensively w/ POC. Seems like you don't know that much but are casting quite a few stones. Always an intriguing thing to watch. |

Look, I'm sure the man's a nice guy and was an experienced racer. But he doesn't seem to be proving his mettle anymore on the track these days in his latest "outlaws". If he starts doing that, I'll give him the thumbs up. Quote:

And as an owner of these cars, speaking up against public stunts like this one below is almost obligatory. Magnus Walker drives like a chump... Last edited by pmax; 11-22-2015 at 10:39 AM.. |

and a G50... and power steering (don't wank about this till you tried it, it's great) and a relatively quiet cabin... it's a great car.

Form imitating function? There is a lot of that going on in most modified 911 street cars.... Yes, this car is a little bit over the top for me. But so are all of the RWB cars. I say let Magnus do what he wants to do. The only people that need to like it are him and the person that owns the car. Could be one in the same.

And I'd expect my friends in the posche community would call me out if I posted vids of myself driving like a fool on the street. They'd also give me $hit if I cut louvers in the fenders. Last edited by dad911; 11-22-2015 at 11:46 AM.. |

I have to admit, he is being stupid driving like that on the street. If he were my friend and he showed me that vid, I would tell him so right to his face.
